Good evening, a small place, as a lunch spot it could be more than fine, however the food is good, the owners are good, so try Tuscan cuisine.

Osteria carina, alla buona, un posto dove si può mangiare bene e gustare una buona cucina casalinga. Ho mangiato un coniglio ripieno molto buono accompagnato dal purè di patate...da leccarsi i baffi. Nota dolente, a fine pasto abbiamo chiesto un dolcino ma non avevano più nulla, può terminare un tipo.....ma non avere più nulla non è accettabile.

Today I managed to try this bar-tavern. Open only on weekdays. Menu of the day on blackboard outside. You can also take away. Ate very well on site, aubergine parmigiana, bread, wine, water, coffee and takeaway pennette. Spent 21.10. generous portions. Fast service. As a matter of personal taste, I would have given five stars if the aubergines had been a little more gratinated

03/04/2024: I hadn't been here for several years, I brought some friends, thinking I'd make a decent impression, but instead, nothing exceptional... The beppa platter was more abundant than a few years ago... let's not talk about the small ones with turnips and anchovies which were completely tasteless and few. Good seconds. There were 7 of us.
20/03/2024: We enjoyed a fixed menu at €35 with starter and two first courses, a truly sublime starter, the first courses were very good but in my opinion not at the level of the starter, wine, water, bread all included, splendid location, worth the price!

Regina Bistecca

30/10/2023: A good place for a steak. We followed the local traditions and ate Tuscan beef accompanied by an excellent Chianti. Service is very good. Food is cooked well, it’s all a touch touristy with theatrical display of meat.
10/10/2023: After reading about Regina Bistecca on a foodie web site in the US, we put a visit into the plans for our trip to Florence. The Regina Bistecca is located on a side-street in the shadow of the Duomo. We ordered the Local Tuscan Chianina steak set menu and found the steak to be quite gristly and tough. The steaks are for two, ours was about 2.2 pounds and served rare (strongly recommended by the chef). You cannot get a smaller steak for one. The Chianina steak set menu included a great antipasto, the steak, bread, a side (We had the creamed spinach) and Dessert. We had the Cheesecake and the Grandmother's Cake (A Florence Favorite). We also ordered a garden salad. Everything but the steak was great. The price was 69 Euros per person. This was one of our more expensive dinners on our 17-day visit to Italy and least favorite dinners. If back in Florence - we would not likely return to this restaurant.
