This is a genuine Italian Restaurant were locals eat lunch. 13 euro for a full meal including water and wine. Fantastic!

Wide selection on the menu, delicious appetizers, excellent quality meat, very reasonable prices, excellent value for money. The location isn't great given the limited parking, but the quality of the food is top-notch. Highly recommended.

If there was an even more positive review, I'd leave it... The shared menu is complicated by the waiters, who sometimes get confused, but despite the stress and everything, they are kind and cheerful, especially the girl. The food portions are very generous and everything is delicious, it's difficult to recommend anything because everything is truly delicious. Congratulations, I will recommend it to everyone and will definitely be back, you are the best.

This restaurant offers a 13-euro set menu. I was annoyed that I wasn't asked whether I wanted the à la carte or the set menu, which I personally didn't like, except for the stew with polenta. The pasta and potatoes were reheated and therefore dry.

The food was absolutely amazing — authentic, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. It was recommended by a local, and I can see why. The location is perfect, easy to find, and the atmosphere adds to the experience — very clean, with new decor and a spacious, comfortable interior. Every detail shows thought and quality. Highly recommend CARTAPAGLIA if you’re looking for a truly authentic meal in Desenzano.

11/09/2025: Nice cafeteria where you can enjoy the view of Lake Garda while eating ice cream.
08/09/2025: As someone who pays a lot of attention to reviews, I don't understand why this gelateria doesn't have higher ratings. The vanilla Amerena lemon crumble ice cream is absolutely fantastic, but the hazelnut ice cream is also highly recommended! Friendly service and large scoops for the price. We went back the day after.
