We had lunch on a Sunday with friends. We ate everything, starting with the appetizer, followed by the first courses, the second courses, and the dessert.
The appetizer was good and complete, with ricotta with honey, beans and pork rind, sun-dried tomatoes in oil, artichokes, bruschetta, and more.
The first courses were good, both the hare sauce and the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, and the polenta as well. For the second courses, we had mixed roast beef and lamb, both well-cooked and delicious. The chicory and potatoes were good. The Black Forest cake and wine donuts were excellent.
The house wine was also good.
Price was around €30 per person. Recommended. The family atmosphere was very friendly.

A truly special place, with excellent quality food... attentive service... courtesy... It's a combination that makes you feel like you're part of the family. I wouldn't know what to recommend because I'd take something away from the menu, and honestly, there's nothing you can take away. Thanks from us and Liam 🩵

We found ourselves at this trattoria after a Sunday of trekking. Despite it being late afternoon and a fairly large group, we were greeted warmly and with open arms. They prepared platters and various tastings with local and homemade specialties, delicious grilled meats, and spicy sausages just like our grandmothers used to make. The service was prompt, the waiters were courteous. Everything was delicious in a family atmosphere. The price was more than fair. The surrounding mountains are spectacular.

At the end of a wonderful trek near the Mentorella Sanctuary, we dined at Peppe's, welcomed by the warmth of the giant grill and the friendly staff. The grilled meat was truly excellent.

Even though we arrived late, around 4:00 PM with a group of 30 people, we were greeted warmly and served promptly. We ate very well; the food was good, plentiful, and excellent value for money. We'll be back often because we organize treks in the area. Thanks to the staff.

Arriving in the midst of a downpour, we were warmly and thoroughly refreshed by a good lunch and excellent service.
If you're using Google Maps, make Capranica your first stop, followed by the restaurant. If you enter the restaurant's address directly, it'll take you down a narrow road worthy of climbers.

A quaint restaurant, with courteous and attentive staff, all homemade first courses with a choice of sauces (all worth trying again!), excellent meats of all kinds, and reasonable prices... and outside... the spectacle of nature! The only drawback for the fifth star: the stairs, a small obstacle for those with mobility issues... but not for everyone else!
