My daughters and I spent a weekend in Rome and decided to treat ourselves to a classic Roman dinner in Trastevere. We couldn't have made a better choice! I know several restaurants, but we'd never been to Da Oio, and it was a wonderful evening! The staff were cheerful, fun, helpful, and very knowledgeable! The first courses were Oscar-worthy: rigatoni all'amatriciana, spaghetti alla carbonara, and tonnarelli cacio e pepe. EXTRAORDINARY! Each one better than the last! Traditional flavors in perfect balance, the taste, saltiness, and harmony of the dishes, a perfect combination combined with the friendly, family atmosphere. The food was fantastic, all the way down to the steak. Fantastic vino, spritz, and service! This family owned restaurant took my family right in. When on a Thursday night, no other restaurant had available seating, they took us right in and made us feel right at home. Please take a visit!
