Renovated and charming location. Everything we ate was excellent! The Carbonara was fantastic and creamy! The service was quite fast, considering it was Sunday lunch and the place was packed. Highly recommended!

In the Testaccio neighborhood. Classic Roman cuisine; we had carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, and potatoes. Oxtail, tripe, and sautéed chicory. Everything was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. Go there!

We had a lovely meal. One of the best carbonaras I've eaten in Rome. However when the bill came, we were overcharged. We sent it back the the waiter apologized and said it was a mistake, ok, fair enough. But then the waiter asked us for a tip, which was not cool. They only do that because we are Americans. For that reason we won't return.

We really enjoyed the experience here, authentic and really delicious Roman food, pleasant people and excellent service. I think this is the Roman restaurant we enjoyed the most in Rome.

Osteria Pietrino e Renata

18/11/2025: We went with TheFork, the fettuccine with ragù was good, the appetizer was a bit poor for the price.!! But it amazes me that we paid for the service plus bread, 4 mini slices, €3 each, that is, €6 service for 2. Then you get a €6 discount on the total excluding water. Three euros for a cover charge in an osteria is absurd, especially since I had to look for a waiter to clear away the dirty plates... and no one came for the second course and we left hungry. I don't think I'll go back, also because TheFork is a rip-off. I paid the discount with the cover charge 😡
16/11/2025: We had a great lunch experience today at this osteria, where we ate deliciously and the service was friendly and welcoming. Congratulations to everyone...We'll be back!
