A wonderful experience!
The lady makes ravioli in the window😊
We had crostini with Colonnata lard, which were fabulous!!
Followed by a mix of crostini with truffle, tomato, liver, beans, and cavolo nero, and tomato puree.
Meat tordelli with ragù and homemade ricotta and spinach ravioli with tomato sauce... truly delicious!
We'll definitely be back 😍

We ate a superb porchetta, and another guest had pici cacio e pepe, which he described as the best he'd ever eaten (he's over 70). Friendly staff, a bit noisy, but that's because it was crowded. Prices were reasonable. Well done!

My partner and I were walking around Lucca, and we saw this quaint place with a sweet lady making tordelli. We stopped and had pappardelle with wild boar ragù, and my partner had tordelli with ragù. Both were excellent. Nice place, very fast service! The meat was fresh, the wild boar was still screaming. The water was good, and the duck didn't float. The rosemary was top-notch, typical of Lecce.

So it's being advertised well on social media as a local place, even though I don't think it's that local, despite the lady rolling out the pasta at the entrance, who honestly seems more like a tourist trap to me. That said, we go in and sit down with our daughter who has celiac disease. Unfortunately, not being prepared on such a topic in a restaurant in 2026 is something we simply can't accept, hearing "if she's a little intolerant, it's fine, but if she's really allergic, then no." Celiac disease is a disease, not an allergy; it's not like you just suffer from it a little, especially when it comes to a five-year-old girl. So please train the staff, rather than have them stammer like a fourteen-year-old being tested in history who's never opened a book, and maybe offer two dishes that have almost zero risk of contamination. That said, a children's menu wouldn't be bad, since someone might have the money but still have to spend €25 for the tagliata (without potatoes because the oven was contaminated, but obviously not deducted from the price) is a pain, especially with a little girl who you already know will eat a third of it.
That said, the tortelloni with meat sauce and the pasta with chestnut flour and vegetables (artichokes and beans) were good, and they earned the 3-star rating.

A traditional trattoria in the center of Lucca. A lady at the entrance prepares tortelli freshly. A very quaint place. The dishes are delicious and generously portioned.
