On a Sunday in February Da Nello was one of the few places we found open. Nice place, the typical trattoria. At the counter there are various second or fried dishes. We ordered Sorrento gnocchi and spaghetti with mussels. Neither cheese nor bread was served, I understand that it is a tourist place and tourists are not used to accompanying it with bread, but if you see Italians... even good gnocchi, the quality of the gnocco could certainly be improved and a better supplier could be found. The spaghetti however was undercooked and full of garlic. The amount of garlic completely covered the flavor of the fresh fish (seeing with my own eyes how clean the mussels were), a shame.

My spaghetti vongole was the best pasta I have had in a long time, a piece of bread would have been nice but I guess it was up to me to order that.

The rating I gave to this place is related to its type and what is expected. In fact, despite being a restaurant with a decidedly tourist target, both for the environment and for the very rich menu (there is everything) we ate really well there for little money. The lady who greeted and served us was very hospitable and kind.

We had lunch in this place, small and basic but we ate very fresh fish, cooked very well. We ate mussels, fried fish and spaghetti. Even the meat, the cuts served to the diners, were of good quality, cooked well and tasty. Too bad, I don't have any photos. Attentive service and all accompanied by good wine. What more do you want from a take away? Excellent value for money, highly recommended.

A Sunday in November visiting Sorrento with a group by bus through the streets of the town and having lunch in this trattoria. We enjoyed a good first course and a good second course, tasty! All Good!

Basic but effective!
Simple location, informal environment.
You will find Mega sandwiches, pizza and both land and sea cuisine.
Respectable dishes, good value for money.

We ate here twice while on holiday in Sorrento. The meal portions are very good and we particularly liked the Spaghetti Sorrento. The staff are very friendly and the prices are very good for the area.

So good! Three nights we ate here and everything was great! Very nice, we didn’t feel like we were being pressured at all by being tourists. Spaghetti vongole is my favorite food ever and theirs was excellent
