My partner and I visited this wonderful place, where we ate and drank truly well... we were welcomed warmly by the lady and all her staff, making us feel right at home. The location was beautiful, the staff were super helpful, kind, and attentive, the food was delicious, from appetizers to dessert, all carefully prepared with top-quality ingredients, and there was a wide selection of wines from various wineries. We were also very pleased with the value for money.

Kindness and local products are the perfect combination at this restaurant, not to mention the characteristic location with its grand vaults and family atmosphere. I return every time I'm in Moncalvo to buy Barbera, the iconic wine of this magnificent area. So if you're in Moncalvo, you have to go to Monsu' Mario. Enjoy your meal.

We discovered this place by chance while looking for a good restaurant to dine in, and what can I say? An excellent choice!
The owners, Susanna and Mario, welcomed us with a delicious house appetizer. The tajarin with sausage and porcini mushrooms was truly excellent, and the recommended wine paired perfectly.
If you want to eat in an intimate, welcoming setting with delicious cuisine, you've come to the right place.

A little gem in the Monferrato hills: an authentic atmosphere, local cuisine, and a heartwarming welcome.
The dishes are authentic and carefully crafted, from homemade tajarin to veal with tuna sauce, accompanied by excellent local wines. Everything speaks of tradition and passion.

Arriving from a bike ride to the pleasant discovery of this delicious restaurant in the heart of Moncalvo.. the welcoming and smiling owner pampered us, recommending us an excellent red wine from the area that we appreciated! Io e mia sorella siamo state a pranzo in questa osteria per caso, domenica a pranzo.
Una piacevolissima scoperta, cibo di altissima qualità con preparazioni semplici, ma che rispecchiamo al meglio i profumi e i gusti della tradizione locale. Il tutto accompagnato da un servizio impeccabile.
