I can only give it an excellent review! The food was excellent, just like at home, the service was perfect, very helpful and kind. The atmosphere was relaxing. You won't leave this place hungry... in fact, it's easy to give up before you've finished. Congratulations, and we'll definitely be back!

Excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere. The service was prompt and the staff were friendly and helpful. Perhaps a little lacking in attention to the plating, especially for the first and second courses. The appetizers and desserts were truly superb.

After years of positive reviews and testimonials, I finally tried Ristorante da Maria in Vessalico. Its excellent reputation is well-deserved. After a motorcycle ride through the surrounding valleys with a group of friends, we had lunch at this lovely little spot in the heart of town. The multi-course menu satisfied everyone's palates and tastes. The food was excellent, homemade, and beautifully presented. Divine ravioli, superb borage tagliatelle, and world-class Ligurian-style ribs and rabbit. Rich and varied appetizers with generous portions. It was truly an experience that epitomized the best of Ligurian cuisine. We'll be back. A must-see!

We went for lunch. There's no written menu, nor any prices displayed, but
they asked us if we knew what we wanted. We started with the appetizers, which were good and, in our opinion, the best dishes. The first courses weren't excellent; the mushrooms in particular were woody, and the lamb was also too dry. The bill was more expensive than we expected. We had traveled quite far inland. It had been recommended to us, and we had high expectations, so we were a bit disappointed. The owner, on the other hand, is friendly.
An exceptional restaurant in Vessalico, where you can sample a wide variety of dishes (infinite appetizers, tasty first courses, exquisite second courses with side dishes, and exquisite desserts), all homemade and served fresh, with wines, water, and all-you-can-eat drinks. I recommend arriving early (Sunday lunch usually starts at 12:30, allowing for a short break between courses). Expect a total lunchtime of approximately 4-5 hours, spent happily in good company. Reservations are absolutely required to avoid disappointment. For special occasions, such as Christmas and Easter, it's best to book at least 3 months in advance (4 to be extra safe). Payment is accepted by card or cash. Kudos to the entire staff; you're always one of a kind!

Typical Ligurian inland restaurant/trattoria, lunch during the week. The atmosphere is welcoming, though a little dated, and the entrance doesn't give you any idea of the explosion of deliciousness, flavors, quality, and quantity that will overwhelm you.
The appetizers were exceptional; it felt like being in Piedmont.
