Cuando voy a Venecia este es un lugar al que me gusta ir (de forma casi obligada). Es honesto, sencillo, con un buen precio y sobre todo NUNCA HE COMIDO UNA PASTA TAN RICA EN OTRO LUGAR. Es un pequeño restaurante escondido entre la maraña de calles venecianas que puede pasar desapercibido. Pero el trato, la calidad de la comida y el vino de la casa… son de otro mundo. Totalmente recomendable.

A little hard to find; down an alley so use google maps; come by early in the day to make a reservation. Food is outstanding; the line for walk-ins goes down the alley so this place is well known. The best seafood linguini I have ever had

12/12/2024: Ottima accoglienza e bellissima atmosfera familiare. Siamo stati gli ospiti dell'Osteria Oliva Nera (sui consigli del receptionist dell'albergo "Hotel Paganelli") questo martedì sera per cena e siamo rimasti veramente contentissimi sia del posto che della qualità dei piatti che abbiamo assaggiato (con un abbinamento perfetto con il vino). Siamo stati "coccolati" dall'inizio fino alla fine della nostra esperienza culinaria e questo crea il "plus" per noi. Ovviamente la qualità ha un prezzo e soprattutto a Venezia, dunque niente di "strano" al contrario di quello che abbiamo potuto leggere dall'altre recensioni. Consigliatissimo !
01/12/2024: Die Oliva Nera überrascht immer wieder mit den schönsten Kreationen. Wir hatten ein Amuse Bouche aus Kürbis, dann Fior di Zucca, Thunfisch aus Sizilien, Leber nach venezianischer Art. Das Dessert schlug dem Fass den Boden aus: ein Kleiner Mont Blanc auf einer Kastanienmousse. Traumhaft, lecker, umwerfend!!

La Porta D'Acqua

17/10/2024: Volvimos al restaurante después de 5 años y era tan bueno como lo recordábamos. La comida era excelente y la selección de vinos era algo genial. Nos gustaría volver en nuestro próximo viaje a Venecia.
05/08/2024: Our hotel staff recommended this restaurant and we liked it so much we ate here twice. The service staff were excellent especially our server Lorenzo who remembered us from the night before. We tried some of the fresh fish starters such as the fried shrimp and it was excellent. The did the fresh fish of the day while my husband did the ravioli with fish and both were delicious my son did pasta with clams and he thought it was great. The next night we did the macaroni with meat sauce and fried fish which was also excellent. Would definitely recommend
