We called and booked without any problems. The staff is courteous and helpful. The pizza is excellent, very easy to digest, and cooked to perfection. I ate the pizza, but seeing the dishes go by, I don't want to go back. I would have tried them all. Fair prices and quality products.

With all the tables occupied, there's a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. The cheese focaccia is excellent, as are the pizzas. The paellas being passed around to the neighboring tables were also very inviting. And dining under the porticoes is beautiful.

We set off early since we hadn't made a reservation, but our worries were unfounded. After we paid, three-quarters of the restaurant was still empty. I had the spaghetti with seafood, and my wife had the spaghetti pomodoro. There was absolutely nothing to criticize about either dish. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the seafood was fresh, just as you would expect in a good Italian restaurant. The wine was very good and not too cold. On our second evening, we were very well served with a pizza salami and a pizza capricciosa; the pizza chef certainly knows his craft.

My son and I went to Osteria da Ivo in Chiavari today.
Perhaps it was my mistake: before sitting down, I didn't ask if the menu included traditional Ligurian dishes, such as farinata, Ligurian-style rabbit, or Recco focaccia. Among the traditional dishes, only pasta with pesto was available.
In the end, we chose a first course and a second course with a side dish. Everything was good, albeit simple and without any particular surprises. We also ordered water, wine, and coffee.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and the final bill of €23 for two is truly more than reasonable.
