Good place, but it's a shame they don't accept reservations via Google, so the welcome upon arrival wasn't the best, although they quickly remedied this by setting up the table. The food was good, the sea bream still had a few bones, and the pizza was okay. Prices were good. I would recommend it. Be careful, guys, and make reservations online.

We spent four evenings in Chiavari eating at this trattoria, and I must say the food is truly excellent. The waiters are helpful, and the blonde lady is very kind. If I were to return to Chiavari, Osteria da Ivo would definitely be a stop.

We stopped for a quick lunch, ordering pasta with pesto, potatoes, and green beans...they were perhaps the best I've ever eaten, only I make them this good!! Fast, friendly service, and a lovely, traditional trattoria atmosphere under the portico. Thank you.

23/05/2026: A very nice and welcoming place, with a quiet atmosphere. The wait staff was polite and helpful. We had fried Genoese panissa, marinated anchovies, and Russian salad, served individually. The panissa was delicious, a novelty for me, being Neapolitan. I couldn't help but try the lasagna with Genoese pesto... I finally tasted real Genoese pesto... delicious, and the fresh pasta was excellent too. My experience was positive, I recommend it.
