I wanted to compliment the manager, fantastic service, delicious dishes, we were served by a young curly-haired girl who was very polite, recommending the typical dishes since we are Sicilians, satisfied with everything ❤️❤️❤️Thank you

We booked this restaurant a week in advance because we'd found it in the Michelin guide and were eager to try it. The restaurant is welcoming and well-maintained, the service is attentive to the customer's needs, and the meat dishes are truly excellent, as are the side dishes—a true delight for the palate. The price was in line with Lucca's prices. Highly recommended.

We ate very well and spent a fair amount. Kudos to the waiters, who were truly kind. Sara was a friendly and engaging girl. We'll be back on our next trip to this splendid city.

We had a dinner with really good traditional dishes. The place is a bit old-fashioned and could use a bit of a makeover. The value for money is good. Overall, we're satisfied and will definitely return if we ever return to Lucca.

We ate there three times during our stay in Lucca and were never disappointed! Delicious, authentic food at reasonable prices, and fast, friendly service. Marco and Matteo are the best 😉 The only downside was the somewhat long wait for a table if you hadn't made a reservation, like us. It's best to reserve in advance; the place is packed and popular with both Italians and foreign tourists. We ate there three times during our stay in Lucca and were never disappointed! A restaurant in the historic center of Lucca. This trattoria is well-known in Lucca. The menu is extensive and offers options for all tastes, including both meat and fish. When the restaurant is busy, it can be very noisy. The dishes are very flavorful and plentiful, but they're also a bit heavy (personal preference here) due to the oil, even the side dishes. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I recommend going there and making a reservation.

Given the reviews, we tried it for dinner. If we really wanted to find a flaw, it was a bit noisy, but otherwise... amazing! It felt like a dive back into the 70s and 80s. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was exceptional. One of the best cod I've ever eaten. I finished with dessert and a taste of Vin Santo for my wife... just a drop... see photos.

La location all'aperto è un incanto...sotto le mura e in posto raccolto. Servizio molto buono. Qualità dei cibi molto buona. Porzioni abbondanti.... Se si viene a Lucca...merita una visita

Rusticanella 2 " da Luca"

14/02/2026: Although it's mostly frequented by foreigners, I didn't feel like a "tourist trap." It's a lovely place; the lamb and pecorino cheese sandwich, with anchovies and dried tomatoes, was delicious! Recommended!
12/02/2026: We wanted to have dinner early, and this place opened at 6 PM, which suited our needs. It was a cozy restaurant with stews at the entrance and various hams hanging above the counter. The lighting was thoughtful, bright, warm, and perfect for taking photos. This restaurant stopped serving steaks in 2024, opting instead for more locally inspired dishes. The menu is in English, making it convenient for tourists to order. We ordered: *Classic steak tartare with egg* – very fresh beef with no unpleasant odor. We didn't experience any gastrointestinal discomfort the next day. *Tagliatelle with Florentine tripe* – tomato and tripe pasta. The tripe was tender, and the rich tomato sauce coated both the tripe and pasta – delicious. *Beef stewed in red wine* – tender beef, infused with the aroma of red wine, spices, and whole black peppercorns. We not only finished the bread that came with the dish, but also dipped it in the sauce and ate all the bread (which was delicious on its own). Tiramisu – absolutely delicious. The service was also superb! This delicious meal brought a perfect end to our wonderful trip to Luca.
