A little jewel located in the historic center of Torre del Greco! Time seems to have stopped here: welcoming and characteristic, rustic but refined, with attention to every detail. It is run by a very nice married couple: she, Teresa, is present in the room and treats guests with a friendliness and kindness that are now increasingly difficult to find around; he, Gigi, churns out typical dishes of the Neapolitan tradition with fidelity and without "desecrating reinterpretations". The costs? Much more than honest! PS: I have hardly eaten in a place as clean as this.

Going to Gigino is like feeling at home and there are many points in its favour, from the welcome and helpfulness of the owners and staff, to the tasty range of dishes with which it proposes the local culinary tradition, all surrounded by delightful furnishings that it makes the atmosphere even warmer. Don't hesitate to order one of its fantastic cutting boards next to which I chose a nice glass of wine filled almost to the brim by the generous Teresa (so I really felt even more at home with my family), and if you still have space, don't give up on his legendary saltimbocca (I've never eaten escarole and broccoli like his anywhere else). I highly recommend going there and, if you're in a hurry, don't worry: there is also a takeaway service.

El Gigino tiene algunos de los MEJORES alimentos que hemos comido hasta ahora en nuestros 7 días de estar aquí. Mi grupo y yo estamos sorprendidos con el tamaño de las porciones y aunque no hablamos italiano, Gigino se aseguró de hacernos sentir bienvenidos y nos recibió como familia tan pronto como entramos por la puerta. Pedimos el plato de aperitivos y era exactamente lo que querrías, te lo estás perdiendo si no recibes ese plato. Luego pedimos la Amatriciana y nos sirvieron algo que como grupo de 3 luchamos por terminar porque era ENORME. También conseguimos una botella de la casa roja y por poco más de 60 euros para 3 personas, absolutamente no se puede superar esto. No puedo complementar este lugar lo suficiente, si estás en Torre Del Greco, IR AQUÍ. Tal vez incluso un par de veces... este lugar es increíble. Ojalá mi teléfono no estuviera muerto cuando fuimos para que se pudieran publicar fotos, pero el resto de mi grupo compartirá fotos de la hermosa comida que nos sirvieron, y escribirá su propia reseña también.

This place is like something out of a movie. If we were not taken there, by the Town Mayor, we would not have found it. So "local", so exquisite, so congenial. If one is in Torre dal Grecco, one has to visit this place. A true piece of history.
