My wife, a couple of friends, and I had dinner at this trattoria serving traditional Genoese and Ligurian cuisine, located in the Carignano neighborhood of Genoa near the military barracks. We ate at one of the many indoor tables scattered throughout the various rooms. There are also outdoor tables on Salita Sal Leonardo. We ordered: First courses: Mandilli with pesto Chestnut trofie with pesto Pear flakes with fondue Boragine ravioli with tucco sauce Second courses: Fried fish Cuttlefish zimino 2 fried anchovies Dessert: Panna cotta Chocolate flan Tart Everything was absolutely delicious, good, and plentiful. The owner and staff were welcoming, smiling, competent, professional, friendly, and helpful. The service was attentive and very fast, and the prices were truly reasonable! The food is excellent, with generous portions and authentic, high-quality Ligurian cuisine. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home! Definitely worth a try.

A typical Genoese lunch. The menu isn't as extensive as at real trattorias, where everything is excellent—starters, first courses, and second courses! Tables are divided into various rooms, as you'd expect for a restaurant in the historic center. The owner is very friendly, taking orders and offering suggestions on dishes. The staff is friendly.
