Excellent location halfway between Palazzo Vecchio and the Duomo. I wanted to return after eating there a few months ago, having had a good experience. A simple restaurant with a genuine atmosphere. The restaurant is small, and since it's always busy, it can feel a bit cramped, but the typical Tuscan osteria atmosphere makes it pleasant. I recommend making a reservation if you're traveling with a large group (which I did last time, when there were 18 of us). Today, since there were only three of us, we still found a table right away, even without a reservation. On both occasions, I found the food to be of high quality, and the service was attentive and fast. The service was never intended to rush you to get up, but rather to allow just the right amount of time between courses. I appreciated the attention we received when it came to the bill (which, even à la carte, is very fair and offers a remarkable quality/price ratio). I thank them publicly. It will definitely be a go-to place when I return to Florence.

We had lunch at this osteria that was recommended to us by friends, and we had a great time. Super friendly waiters and excellent food. Recommended!

Ganino was recommended to us by the management company of the apartment we rented and it did not disappoint. We went as soon as it opened for dinner because we did not have a reservation. They let us have a cozy table for two hrs. Actually by the time we left at the end of two hours, the place was packed. For 4 of us, we usually order two of each course to share. For antipasti, we like the fried polenta with ragu. The polenta was crunchy like a piece of toast. For pasta, we actually liked both the pici with wild boar sauce and the giant green ravioli, the pasta on both were cooked extremely well. For Main course, we enjoyed the lamb shank with crispy skin and the meat was just well done but not yet fall off the bone tender. Both the sponge cake and panna cotta were light with the right amount of sweetness. All the servers we sealed with were friendly and helpful. This restaurant is worth a try if you ever visit Florence and happen to be near the Doumo.
