Delicious traditional dishes, small dining room, and a typical atmosphere. Good value for money. For authentic cuisine, go for it!

A place discovered by chance that does not reflect the alley in which it is located at all inside, very spacious and well-kept, young and friendly staff, traditional dishes and fast service

If you want to enjoy typical Genoese cuisine, you can't miss this little restaurant, almost hidden from tourists in the Porto Antico on a side street off Via Cairoli.
The menu offers a good selection, the dishes are carefully prepared, and the staff is friendly. Portions are generous and prices are moderate. Definitely worth a try and then return.

A very charming restaurant in the heart of the historic center, offering a warm and traditional atmosphere. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Unfortunately, I only read about Genoese tradition on the menu, but not actually tasted it in the dishes. The dishes are beautifully presented, but have a touristy authenticity (both in flavor and value for money: €122 excluding wine for 2 appetizers, 2 first courses, 1 second course, 3 desserts, 2 liqueurs)!
The wine list is excellent.

Incredible!!! I enjoyed this restaurant so much that I returned a couple of nights later, which says a lot. It is a lovely, charming little restaurant, and what made it even better was seeing so many locals dining there. That always feels like the best sign you have found somewhere special. The servers were fantastic, friendly, welcoming, and very attentive throughout both evenings.
On my first visit, I started with their take on minestrone soup, finished with pesto and small pasta. It was comforting and flavourful, a wonderful introduction to the Ligurian style of cooking. I followed that with the classic Genovese trofiette with pesto, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Cheesy, salty, nutty perfection, easily one of the best pestos I have ever had.
The bread basket deserves a special mention because they truly don’t miss a beat here. A great assortment including my favourite, a crunchy focaccia that was salty, crisp, and completely addictive.
To finish that evening I had the 70% chocolate dessert with persimmon sauce, which was rich, decadent, and deeply satisfying.
The house red wine was also excellent, smooth and elegant, surprisingly reminiscent of a Barolo.
Because the first visit was so good, I came back a couple of nights later. I started with the saffron tagliarini with shrimp, and it may be one of the best pasta dishes I have ever tasted in my life. The thin pasta was perfectly cooked with small pieces of shrimp in a delicate shrimp sauce and a very light pesto. Every bite had this buttery, nutty flavour while still feeling light and balanced. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients.
For my main course I had the filet of beef with pepper sauce, cooked absolutely perfectly, tender and flavourful, exactly how a great filet should be done.
I finished with their tiramisu, a wonderful rendition of the classic, light, creamy, and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.
From the bread to the pasta to the desserts, everything here shows care and pride in the cooking. Combined with the warm service and the cozy atmosphere filled with locals, it made for two memorable evenings of dining.
If you want to experience authentic Ligurian cooking in Genoa, surrounded by locals and served with genuine hospitality, this is exactly the kind of place you hope to find.
