Da Gabbo In Genova

A lovely lunch stop after the Marino Marini exhibitions. The fried porcini mushrooms, toast, and honey and Contè risotto were delicious—truly amazing. The apple millefeuille was also delicious. Unfortunately, no wine; we had a few hours of driving ahead of us. The location in the square was beautiful. Highly recommended!

My favorite wine bar in Arezzo. Super Gabbo

I felt like a king at Gabbo! A wine list that rivals the best Burgundy or Jura wines—just look at the bottles on display. That alone is worth a visit, but the real highlight is the cuisine: simple yet cutting-edge. I had citrusy tripe in white wine with bottarga leaves, delicious, fresh and full of umami; mushrooms and sage leaves fried like a samurai, crispy and light. An endive that looked like it had been jospered but was actually grilled; and finally, diced chicken thighs fried to perfection! Entrees €8-12, mains €16-20, perfect portions! An impartial opinion from the #1 "foreigner" in Arezzo at the moment. Well, if you're looking for the usual pici all'aglione and pappardelle al cinghiale, go elsewhere...
