Da Franco In Ceglie messapica

Very pleasant place. We had lunch on the quiet terrace. Indeed, at the end of September, there are far fewer tourists. It's the only restaurant still open at this time of year. We had two pasta dishes, which were generously portioned and very good.

Beautiful location with a great atmosphere – that’s what made us come back a few times. The staff are lovely and friendly, the food is okay, and prices are just about fair. What really let the experience down was the owner’s handling of the wine: items on the menu not actually available, wines by the glass suddenly “not possible,” and the only alternative being a more expensive bottle, with the price surprise coming afterwards. It felt a bit off and uncomfortable. If the owner steps back from guest contact, the kitchen goes a little lighter on the oil, and the friendly staff keep doing their great job, this place could be fantastic.

We cannot miss visiting Da Franco every time we are in Ceglie! Amazing place! Amazing atmosphere! Amazing vibe! Franco - the owner - is very professional. And all the staff too! I truly recommend visiting this place. The wine list is extensive.

I had dinner at Da Franco Relax & More, in the charming Piazza Vecchia of Ceglie Messapica, and found it a pleasant stop. The atmosphere is authentic and intimate, perfect for a quiet evening amidst stone alleys and soft lighting. The food is good, with well-prepared dishes that blend land and sea, respecting seasonality. While the flavors and presentation are meticulous, I noticed that the prices for side dishes are quite high, which is something to consider. The staff is friendly and helpful, although the pace of service isn't always consistent. However, the welcome was warm and attentive. Da Franco is an interesting option for those seeking a pleasant experience in the historic center, but it's worth considering the price factor when ordering extras like side dishes.

The drinks were really good and the food was good too - was surprised considering the horrible reviews. That said, the service was inattentive and they charged us a 3 Euro per person table fee but it didn’t come with anything. No bread, water, etc. Just a fee to dine.

Everything about this place is perfect. A great location, and the food is truly well-designed. The prices are also reasonable. What I really don't understand about a restaurant of this caliber is that the staff doesn't know what they're serving. I asked about the spices on my tuna tartare, but everyone was confused, and I've yet to receive an answer. The owner is passionate.

Loved dinner here so much. Good, traditional food in the cutest little spot. And then to top off a gorgeous meal, the owner and waitress delighted us with live music. Highly recommend.
