Went here twice on my trip, great food and lovely staff, would recommend. Bonus that they take reservations.

For us, this was our third visit to Fabrizio, and it once again exceeded our expectations. The staff was extremely kind and professional, and the atmosphere was refined and not at all touristy like many other places in the area. In my opinion, it was the best carbonara I've ever eaten. Highly recommended.

Food was fantastic- especially the fried artichoke and carbonara! Very friendly service. Especially from Natalia who made my boyfriends birthday meal so special.

Located in a quieter area, away from the more touristy chaos of Trastevere, Da Fabrizio al 56 is an excellent choice if you're looking for an authentic Roman dining experience, without endless lines or inflated prices based on location. The service was one of the highlights: friendly, professional, and attentive at all times. The ambiance complements it perfectly, with that classic Roman feel, warm and understated. As for the food, the ingredients were excellent and the execution solid. The cacio e pepe demonstrated technique and a well-achieved creaminess. The carbonara was properly emulsified, with flavorful guanciale and a good texture. The rigatoni with coda alla vaccinara and pecorino added depth and character: an intense, well-reduced sauce, with that distinct Roman identity that isn't always so well executed. And the grand finale was the tiramisu: so far, the best we've tasted in Rome. Airy texture, present and balanced mascarpone, well-integrated cocoa, and no artificial flavors. Classic and technically impeccable. If you enjoy fine dining in Rome and want to avoid the tourist traps of many Trastevere restaurants—which often fall short of expectations—this is a place worth visiting. I would return. Especially for the tiramisu.

Their white ragu was my favorite dish of my entire city trip! Homely service, we'll definitely be back.

The atmosphere is quiet and not overly sophisticated. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. The menu is extensive, always based on Roman cuisine, with a decent selection of wines.

We had a lovely dinner! Their house Ted wine was delicious. I had the bruschetta as a starter and the truffle pasta as my main. Absolutely delicious and would go back!!
