An authentic place where you can try real Roman cuisine. Emilio and his wife are amazing and will make you feel at home. Puntarelle, Roman artichokes, coppadito, cod, coratella... all exceptional and prepared with heart. Far from the tourist attractions, but authentic Roman cuisine.

Emilio's friendliness combined with the professionalism in the kitchen of his wife and son in looking after the diners are a guarantee!! ...and so the tradition of Roman cuisine is made in the most appetizing way possible. Don't miss the rigatoni with pajata and Roman-style saltimbocca. Artichokes are sublime for their tenderness! Finding yourself at Emilio's is a joy for the palate! Familiarity and simplicity combined with a now rare friendliness here in Rome are welcome in this place which exudes all the characteristics of the beautiful cuisines of the past. We started with a tasting of fried battered anchovies and marinated anchovies, just to accompany a first sip of good wine to toast together, but the joy began with the rigatoni with pajata (excellent), the homemade agnolotti with ragù and spaghetti with anchovies and cherry tomatoes, just to enjoy a first demonstration of how Emilio's wife knows how to take care of the taste of preparing real traditional dishes with fantastic results with now rare ability! Continuing with an ossobuco, some veal rolls with mashed potatoes and mashed potatoes - it looked like the one prepared by grandmother - the joy of flavors was revealed in all its beautiful composition!! In short, excellent quality food, preparation according to tradition and perfect execution make a stop at Emilio's a very welcome moment of serene joy! Characteristic place, in its simplicity there is the flavor of the trattorias of the past. The service is fast and you don't always find a free table. My rigatoni with pajada was worth 6, not for the flavor but for the lack of "knots". House wine and medium-high prices. A note of excellence goes to the truly excellent homemade gentian.

The only flaws are: finding a place in the room and finding parking for the car!!!
