Went here saturday 12.30 end feb thinking we would be the first ones at opening time- but nope- the place was already 1/3 full:)
Fantastic lamb (in their open oven so take in account the prep time of say 30 min or more) and pasta.
Great to be the only(?) tourists in the village of pigneto :)
Def get the cooked veg side dish it is really nutritious and easy to eat.

If you're looking for a true Roman experience in a restaurant frequented by locals, with all the accompanying folklore, this place is definitely worth the trip. Massive portions, colorful patrons, and the most friendly staff will transport you back thirty years in time. The only drawbacks are the complete lack of a wine list, dated furnishings and decor, especially indoors, and the lack of a menu with prices displayed. The daily specials are posted on a blackboard, and finally, parking is extremely difficult. We went on a Saturday for lunch, and I recommend making a reservation because the trattoria fills up, or arriving early. The highlight, which is only available on Saturdays, is the whole lamb quarter cooked in the wood-fired oven, finger-licking delicious.

5 minutes from Malatesta, very cold in the middle, we waited a very long time to order because we were a large company, something from the menu ran out of dishes and had to be replaced. Of the pluses, large portions of pasta so that one portion will be enough for two, delicious meat, delicious desserts with delicious strawberries

I went for lunch yesterday with my mom.
The food was excellent. Paolo served us, and I wanted to thank him for his kindness and helpfulness. Recommended.
