You wait a bit to be seated and eat. The menu is fine for a quick lunch, say, with bruschetta, salad, and sandwiches.
The staff is friendly, but the prices are perhaps a little high.

There was a bit of a wait for a table, but it was worth it. We had the spicy tartare, which was tender and very tasty; then the raw sausage sandwich was fantastic. The craft beer was also good.

I arrived by chance, but it's an experience I absolutely must repeat. It was so good I forgot to take photos of the dishes. The four of us had two Tuscan soups (shared among us), a chocolate tartare, a trio of cheeses, a Langhirano sandwich, a Ciacco sandwich, a beer, a glass of Borghesi, and two bottles of water (a panna and a San Pellegrino, not the filtered ones I hate). Special mention for the new olive oil they serve. Incredible. REALLY GOOD.

A place in the center of Lucca, quite chaotic but with plenty of seating.
We ate six sandwiches, and the ingredients were truly excellent, including the bread.
The prices are a bit high, but considering it's in the center, that's acceptable.

Ciacco is an incredible place; the food is good and the price is fair.
In winter, the interior is warm and welcoming, and in summer, it's always enchanting due to its location. You can also enjoy an aperitivo with one of their mixed crostoni platters.
I recommend trying their tartare, and the bread they use is delicious.
Note: They don't take reservations, so arrive and wait your turn by giving your name to an employee just outside the entrance. This is a completely positive development for me, as it's perfect for anyone like me who enjoys a quick bite.
