Da Carlo In Torri del benaco

The food was good. Unfortunately, the service was anything but. I've rarely felt so uncomfortable. The icing on the cake was the waiter in a black vest's answer to our question about whether we wanted to pay (and we had eaten for almost €90 for two). "In the house," was his reply. No please, no thank you, no smile. It was our first and last time there.

Right on the water Great evening sun Oh my God, you absolutely have to try the octopus appetizer with olives and potatoes...incredibly delicious!!!! But the rest of the dishes were also delicious!!! Great! Really! ...if we were here longer...we would go back. The only reason for two points deducted is: the service could be a bit more friendly, and fresh Parmesan would be a highlight. We were here again in May 2025 and were absolutely thrilled again! Thanks to the great team!

Beautiful lakeside setting, with seating area on decking over the lake, covered by an awning. Romantic place to dine as the sun sets across the lake. Good food. Tempted to nitpick in that prawns, scampi and gnocchi could more accurately be described as scampi and one langoustine. Language issues also caused problem with a constituent of the salad, but in fairness this was gracefully removed without fuss. Pricing pretty good for the setting - 2 mains, salad, one dessert and coffee, 65 Euro including tip. Edit: we retured two years after writing the above review. I had the best pizza I've had in Torri, and my wife rated her gnocchi equally highly. With a salad, wine and beer, it came in at less than 55 Euro, so first class.

I think this is a very good restaurant – the steak, fish, and pasta were absolutely outstanding! The small but, hence one point deducted (I'm not one to give a venomous 1* review). It can happen that the waiter spills something. It's unfortunate when almost an entire glass of red wine lands on a one-year-old. The restaurant can't be blamed for my son's somewhat panicked reaction, but: regardless of the fact that we had to leave and our last evening was ruined by the waiter – the restaurant should offer a substantial discount just for the fact that my wife and son's clothes were covered in red wine, which caused us so much trouble (hopefully everything will be cleaned up). Not charging for the spilled red wine, with the junior manager saying we should be grateful for it, is really not enough. So: great restaurant, accidents happen, please do better next time.

A truly excellent experience from every point of view. Warm welcome, impeccable service and great attention to the customer. The staff proved to be prepared, courteous and present. In particular, we were struck by the professionalism of a young waiter who, with the expertise of a true sommelier, suggested three wine labels that we had not considered, explaining them with passion and precision. If we had not already been oriented towards our choice, we would most likely have followed his advice, as instead happened with the dish of the day, which he described so well that we were won over even before tasting it. The dishes were a delight for the palate, cared for in the smallest details, well presented and made with excellent quality ingredients. All accompanied by a good quality-price ratio of the bill. A place to return to willingly, and that we feel we can recommend with enthusiasm!

The food was OK. We weren't warned that the house wine was very sparkling. The atmosphere, like everywhere on the lake, was very good. A very friendly young blonde waitress was very helpful. She explained everything to us.

Very nice place by the lake. Gorgeous view! Average prices. The staff is polite and always nearby. The food is served quickly (but the seating was not full). Everything was delicious! I recommend visiting!

As most local Italian places with no tourists, (or charm - mi dispiace) this place delivers on very tasty food. The best ravioli I have ever had and that says a lot. The rest of the party was also very happy. Definetly coming back!!

Luogo piacevole con i suoi tavoli all'aperto su vista lago. Cibo buono a base di pesce, servizio nella norma, cortesia da lavorarci, i musi lunghi, infatti, non mettono a proprio agio il cliente. Una giornata storta capita a tutti, ma i clienti non devono accorgersene. Prezzi alti, seppur in linea con altri ristoranti dello stesso livello situati nella località turistica.
