As far as I'm concerned, a sensational dinner.
Introduction: we booked on the advice of a local person and we were almost dissuaded by some recent negative reviews... It would have been a huge mistake.
Extremely "warm" and pleasant environment, the garden is very beautiful and is not affected at all by the proximity to the road as some write, you can barely perceive it between hedges and greenery.
Good cured meats, excellent crostini (particularly the liver one) and the truly textbook peposo: spicy, strong and decisive, with the consistency of butter. The choice of desserts is wide, we took the cherries cooked in wine which in their simplicity are a test of the raw material.
In addendum, the charm of such a long tradition cannot leave one indifferent.

Amazing food especially the Fiorentina steak and great wine offering.
Waiters were a bit overwhelmed due to the fully booked place and we had to wait a bit for our orders / food.

Bel posto, cibo di qualità. Il prezzo è altino, quantità non abbondanti ma con due piatti si può mangiare, se non si ha tanto appetito. Non tutti gli aspetti sono proprio curati, ad esempio l'anatra ai lamponi aveva la pelle e parti dure, e l'impiattamento è disordinato, fagioli sparpagliati un po' a casaccio...commenti che non farei in nessun ristorante, ma se uno ha la stella michelin e vuole mettere un coperto da 3€ a testa ogni aspetto va curato

A trattoria from times gone by, in everything, in the quality of the food, in the love and passion with which it is prepared, in the friendliness with which you are welcomed. It's been like this for years. Time passes, generations change...but always from the same family...but excellence remains. I have known this restaurant for over 30 years and it is always a great pleasure to return

The main reason for going here I would say is the atmosphere more than anything. It's a lovely restaurant in a rather odd spot and it makes for quite an interesting experience. The inside is well decorated and reminiscent of an old style tuscan restaurant. The place has a lovely garden for the summer as well as a parking lot. It is mainly frequented by locals and we saw no tourists at all, which is difficult to find in and around Florence. They also have a cute cat inside. The food was also very good but for the price the portions were rather small and left us wanting a bit more. Their signature dish that they're known for is fried frog legs so if you go do try them out as I've yet to find another place that does them. Overall a pretty good experience and I would probably go back.

Un posto storico e un mito della gastronomia fiorentina. Menù contenuto con i principali caposaldi del mangiare toscano ed in particolare con le cosce di rane fritte buonissime. Servizio cortese ma un po’ “ruvido”. Buono il vino e i dolci. Purtroppo, alla fine, il conto risulta un po’ troppo alto…. almeno per un dipendente pubblico con stipendio fermo agli anni ‘80…. Ma questa è un’altra storia….
