I only gave it a five because it couldn't be given a ten. Excellent, simple and authentic cuisine. Honest and efficient service. Cacio e pepe and amatriciana at their best, we regret not having had the rabbit, but we'll be back!

The most unassuming 10/10 after a few days in Rome, just around the corner of where we’re staying. Fresh, simple, amazing. Line up, speak up, know how many people you are (in Italian) drink the house wine, and watch the world go by.

A hidden gem tucked away behind the Piazza de Renzi. The daily specials are particularly good. The veal stew was excellent, for example. The price to value here is outstanding. Only issue is it fills up fast so get there early if you want a table. Opens at 7:30.

A typical Italian restaurant with Mama in charge of cooking, simple but traditional cuisine! Truly very good, an institution! But don't expect a 3-star restaurant, it's really old-fashioned! Great!

Recommended experience, especially because it is in the heart of Trastevere. Excellent food and reasonable prices, perhaps not a very wide choice but the family management (added value for a non-tourist restaurant) also implies this.

Loved this place. It feels like you are in Nona's kitchen. The atmosphere is homey, the food is basic Roman, but perfectly prepared. I will be back next time I am in Rome.

... è una esperienza, fuori dai canoni tradizionali di ristorante, si mangia il piatto del giorno con eventuali varianti. Si condivide il tavolo con sconosciuti prima...poi non più. Da non farsi mancare se vai a Roma.

Piccola ma classica trattoria di Trastevere. I piatti sono quelli della tradizione della cucina romana bene eseguiti e con buone porzioni . Ottima la stracciatella, buonissima la cacio e pepe, tenero il pollo arrosto con patate e buonissimo il carciofo. Il locale è molto frequentato e quindi nei giorni di festa c'è fila ma scorre abbastanza velocemente. I prezzi sono onesti. Consigliato.

17/06/2025: Restaurant describes itself as a kosher restaurant on Google. It’s definitely not kosher although we noticed a few HEBREW prayers on the walls inside. They have pork products and shellfish on the menu.
09/06/2025: It's been a while since I've eaten at the Ghetto, a place where the tradition of Roman cuisine is preserved with devotion, and in this tavern I ate very well. The outside tables, due to the slope of the street and the lack of grouting between the cobblestones, force you to eat in a position that is not exactly comfortable but the service is excellent. I don't know much about the bill since dinner was offered to me..

12/05/2025: En pocas palabras, esta fue la mejor carbonara de espagueti que he probado. El cacio e pepe también fue un gran ganador. No hay nada como lo real. Y a un gran precio también. Sin lujos. Pero no puedes dar lujos. Pero definitivamente deberías comer aquí.
10/04/2025: O unico problema e a quantidade restrita de mesas em razão do Jubileu ! Comida muito boa ! Dono muito simpatico ! Preço exelente ! Voltaria com certeza !
