Excellent place to taste typical Ferrara cuisine, all very good 😋, impeccable service, and affordable prices. The very friendly and easy-going owner also treated us as if we had always known each other. Well done 👏👏👏

I already knew the place, but I recently returned with my family and in particular with my nephew! Super recommended for those with small children for the play room on the upper floor! Excellent food, never disappoints!

I love tasting their dishes. Whenever I have guests from out of town, I always take them to this restaurant because I know they always make a great impression. I go often and have now tasted the entire menu. Everything always very good.

The place is nice, the service staff is excellent. The prices are not commensurate with the quality and quantity of food brought to the table. The 3 of us had 2 Romagna starters, 3 identical cuts and 3 identical desserts. Total cost 165. It can also be accommodated if you put something extra in the 2 starters in addition to the few cold cuts and 4 slices of cheese. But above all if the three cut at 32 euros each bring them to me separately and enough for dinner. We were brought a pan with the 3 cut pieces cooked all together and the quantity must have been 250 grams each. Well..... I was disappointed.

The restaurant offers a selection of typical Ferrara dishes, with great attention to the quality of the raw materials and the authentic flavors of the local tradition. The environment is nice and clean, but it must be said that the place is often very crowded and full, making it almost essential to book well in advance. This crowd can contribute to a somewhat chaotic atmosphere, something that could be improved to provide a more relaxing experience. As for the food, it is truly excellent. The cured meats, such as hams and other cold cuts, are of the highest quality and represent one of the strong points of the menu. The cotechino and mashed potatoes are also excellent. A small note should be made on the guinea fowl sweets with truffles: the dish is very good, but the flavor of the truffle is a little too weak compared to expectations. Overall, this is a restaurant that is definitely worth a visit for those who want to taste Ferrara cuisine.

The place is welcoming and the service is super friendly at the right times. I don't give a higher score because I found too many defects in the cooking: the sweets served in the pan were very good, but the butter had been heated too much and no longer had the smooth flavor it should; the second, in theory, a stew of three meats, was presented in the usual pan in which a very good sausage, a hard and inedible rib and a piece of chicken had been placed. To heat the meat, tomato sauce taken and thrown away, not cooked together with the meat, was used. Decent vegetables, broccoli overheated. The potential is there, but perhaps I would reduce the dishes on the menu and pay more attention to them.

Locale già conosciuto e frequentato, siamo tornati per una festa natalizia, abbiamo gustato i piatti della tradizione sempre speciali e serviti con attenzione e cura, i dolci buoni e il servizio cordiale, alla prossima!

14/02/2025: We arrived in Ferrara much later than expected and without lunch. In the hotel where we are staying they directed us to this wine bar with kitchen, where you can eat at any time of the day. It is the oldest tavern in the world, dating back to 1435. A truly characteristic and personal place, young and kind. We ate cappellacci with butter and sage, pasticcio with macaroni and cotechino and salami with mashed potatoes. Two glasses of wine and a bottle of water we spent €50. The cappellacci were really very good, the thick pasta and the filling really excellent, the pasticcio was also good. We appreciated the second course less. But overall we were satisfied. I recommend it for a quick lunch.
13/02/2025: Loved every bit of the experience! Amazing food, vibes, waiters.. My favorite dish was Capellaci di Zucca Burro & Salvia, out of this world! And the jazz music in the background was a cherry on top...
