Cumpa' Cosimo In Ravello

This is the best food you will ever have. The service is amazing. The owner is not only friendly but she makes the entire restaurant. Absolutely amazing experience. A true Italian gem

Whilst the seating on the terrace is nice, the food was quite average and felt overpriced. Pizza quality is in the bottom third in Ravello. Won’t be back.

I first met him over thirty years ago, when it was still a simple trattoria in an area that boasted more sophisticated establishments. In some ways, you could say he hasn't changed. Homemade cooking, simple atmosphere. The menu isn't particularly original, although he tries to respect local traditions. He tries because there are a few stumbling blocks: the gnocchi you see in the first photo can't be called gnocchi alla sorrentina. The authentic "gnocchi alla sorrentina" are the ones in the second photo: "cavati," baked, and served in an earthenware dish. Obviously, the first version takes half the time to prepare. I also received a completely undercooked baked pasta, which, to be fair, they promptly remade for me. But, even in this case, baked pasta would require more careful execution. It's not enough to simply drain the pasta, add a ragù sauce and a bit of mozzarella, and reheat it in the oven like they do here. The problem is perhaps the adjustment of the recipes to the tastes of the passing foreign tourist, who will be unlikely to be able to distinguish the differences. Naturally, it's likely a customer who isn't willing to spend a lot and isn't accustomed to quality. I've seen more than one person order "wine" without even making a clear distinction between white and red. And here's the positive side: the prices at Cumpà Cosimo, considering the area and everything around it, are extremely fair. So the overall rating is positive.

Me and my family loved this restaurant and definitely visit if you are planning on going to Ravello. The staff were so polite and were very helpful with my sister’s nut allergy. The environment overall was very friendly and the food was amazing.

Such a cute place with a lovely family feel. The gnocchi was delicious and she made us home made meatballs for us to try! Such a sweet lady!

Restaurante local de gestión familiar con deliciosa pasta, un buen spritz y Nonna cuidando de los niños con albóndigas y postre. Fue un almuerzo encantador y destacado en Ravello.

Un amigo mío había descubierto este lugar hace 4-5 años y decidimos ir allí. El servicio es realmente perfecto. Hay una señora que presta especial atención a los huéspedes y recomienda platos y combinaciones. Hemos probado la carne de conejo, canelones, capresa y tiramisú. Nos han dado pequeñas albóndigas y una ensalada como complemento por el restaurante, ambos deliciosos como todo lo que hemos pedido.
