CUCINA.eat In Cagliari

I had read about the restaurant on the Michelin Guide and reserved a table for 10 friday evening. The service, wine-selection and food was excellent. We shared 8 starters and each of us had a main course and a dessert. Try this place when you are in Cagliari… Love from Denmark🇩🇰

Always a pleasure to come back! Informal and well-kept environment, attentive and fast service, excellent dishes, well prepared and well presented. A plus is the open kitchen with the horseshoe-shaped counter where you can eat. Good choice of wines.

The restaurant is only open a few hours a day. The food is excellent...the prices are reasonable...for the people. I stumbled upon it by accident and I think it was worth it. During my nine-day stay in Gagliari, I visited it a second time :) They didn't just get a Michelin star. They fully deserve it. The tiramisu made live is amazing!

We happened upon this wonderful restaurant and spontaneously decided to eat there. The ambiance is lovely, the service is excellent, and the food was delicious. There were six different small dishes to choose from, plus the dessert of the day. Fresh ingredients and a wine to go with it. What more could you want...

Cucina.eat is one of those places where you feel good without knowing why. Perhaps it's the friendly, quick service, which never rushes you. Or the short menu, almost shy, yet full of freshness and honest gestures. The flavors arrive undisguised, with that lightness that reminds us that life doesn't need embellishment to be delicious. The atmosphere is simple, friendly, like a conversation that drags on endlessly. And finally, the cheesecake: sweet, profound, unforgettable. The best of my life. Perhaps because, like everything true, it didn't aim to impress, only to linger. Cucina.eat is a little gem in Sardinia that captures the essence of simple, joyful dining. The service is both fast and genuinely friendly, making you feel at ease the moment you walk in. The menu is intentionally small, but every dish is crafted with incredibly fresh ingredients and just the right touch of light seasoning—letting the flavors shine without overcomplicating things. The atmosphere is easygoing, unpretentious, and perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. And then there's the cheesecake... hands down the best I've ever had in my life. Worth visiting just for that heavenly slice alone!

We visited CUCINA.eat based on the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand recommendation, but also after consulting with the staff at our favorite breakfast spot. It's a charming little place with a few tables in the dining room, a garden, and seats at the counter (bar) where you can watch the kitchen in action. (We chose this option.) A short menu, a few appetizers, soup, two main courses, and sweets. (Tiramisu was assembled right before our eyes 😀) Everything we tried was delicious. The excellent service is also noteworthy. The gentleman who looked after us guided us through the selection of local wines, pairing different wines by the glass with each course. Thank you very much for the wonderful atmosphere and hospitality. I highly recommend it.

The menu changes daily, which keeps things exciting and ensures the ingredients—especially the vegetables—are as fresh as they get. I had an eggplant dish that was next-level, and the salad was just as impressive. But the real surprise was the cheesecake. I usually don’t like cheesecake because it’s too heavy, but this one was baked to perfection—light, not overly sweet, with an unreal crust I still can’t figure out. Schönes Lokal, aber leider ohne Außenbereich. Dennoch saßen wir sehr gut an der Theke, mit Blick auf die „Küche“. Wir waren zum Lunch dort und hatten Nudeln und Hähnchen, beides war super und die Portionen perfekt.

Wir hatten nach den Bewertungen etwas mehr erwartet, haben nach dem Mitagessen auf ein Abendessen verzichtet. Die Nudeln mit Pesto waren fast kalt, das Hähnchen Diavolo kam mit labberiger Haut.
