Mariam is a source of happiness in the center of Cagliari, she truly makes us feel like we are in another part of the world. The food is delicious, we always go on Mondays when there is certainly fish, with incredibly tasty rice and delicious vegetables. All with fresh ginger juice, spicy! This place deserves to be better known

Gorgeous, we came across it by chance, and it was a pleasant surprise. Mariam the cook is very, very welcoming and kind. We had mafé and chicken rice, they were both delicious. To drink we opted for ginger juice and we asked for the recipe because it is so sublime. Small restaurant which appears simple but the emphasis is on good things, hospitality and TASTE.

Food is super delicious, very good portions, and Mariam is a very friendly sweetheart. You must drink "Karkade" while you are there, it's super authentic and delicious 😋 Thank you Mariam, and will definitely come back soon ❤️ 🇪🇬🇸🇳

I came across this restaurant by chance on my last day in Cagliari, and I really liked the dish which was served to me, tasty and well spiced. We spoke at length with Mariam, who is incredibly kind. THANKS

Good simple Senegalese restaurant. Typical dishes and courtesy, more than anything it is a delicatessen so don't expect a restaurant but rather a simple place with a few tables. I recommend the sheep and the cucumber cous. Price quality a bit expensive honestly, an average meal around 35.

I couldn't take a photo as I was so hungry, I had a takeaway last week too, ginger spiced chicken drumsticks with stewed veggies as a side, and it was tasty and plenty too. But today.... I was melting as I ate Mafe and cous cous....perfectly balanced, filling and light at the same time, just so so good. If you go and it's on the menu ( it changes kind of daily) DO TAKE IT!! Good thing is it's open long hours too, so it's never to late for lunch.

Excellent cuisine in terms of flavors and raw materials. Correct and tasty dishes inspired by the Senegalese tradition that alternate over the days of the week, right quantities that leave you satisfied, clean, simple and informal environment, friendly owners, excellent quality/cost ratio. A small gastronomic pearl in the heart of Cagliari.

Nice typical place, well furnished, welcoming and warm. The owner and his wife are really helpful and excellent advisors. They also build a satisfying and balanced vegetarian dish on request. The meat sauce dish is ordered with couscous but is also available with rice. The spiciness of the sauce is excellent, not excessive but consistent, the food is simple but very fresh. The price is amazing, especially with the dessert added. Really recommended.

Personale gentile e accogliente, cibo ottimo e con sapori del tutto diversi da quelli a cui siamo abituati. Una cucina differente, alternativa ottima per chi è curioso e aperto verso le cucine straniere. Il ristorante è unico a Cagliari. I prezzi sono assolutamente coerenti con quello che ti offrono e con la qualità. Alternative vegane e vegetariane presenti.

18/04/2024: Spesso andiamo a Cagliari a cena e spesso usiamo the Fork magari con buone promozioni e cambiare ristoranti.. da tempo pensavamo di andare in questo locale ma sinceramente, nonostante sconto del 50%, i prezzi da menù ci sembravano esagerati e incomprensibili!!Dunque curiosi decidiamo di andare a cena; locale curato e ambiente semplice , personale gentile e simpatico; menù da consultare lo stesso proposto da The Fork, che come detto prima ha prezzi da accettare solo perchè si ha lo sconto del 50%!! Prendiamo tagliere ogliastra per due che non ha esaltato i nostri salumi o formaggi mentre la trippa e le polpettine erano molto buone; come piatto principale trofie e culugionis buona presentazione e buon piatto, continuiamo con calamaro arrosto e carciofi poco cotto e molto salato.. chiudiamo con una seadas discreta, buono e costo giusto per due calici di bianco fresco. Conto finale buono con lo sconto del 50%.... cucina e qualita' dei prodotti da migliorare.

Welcoming and informal environment. All the staff are kind, helpful and attentive to customer needs. Claudia, the owner is fantastic. Thank you all. See you soon
