I had the pleasure of dining at Da Mimmo restaurant in Catania, and the experience was, without exaggeration, absolutely excellent in every way. ​From the moment you arrive, you can sense the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff: a warm, courteous, and always available team that makes you feel at home from the first moment. The service was impeccable, perfectly timed and with great attention to detail. A special round of applause goes to them for making the evening so enjoyable! ​And then there's the food: a true celebration of Catanian and Sicilian culinary traditions, but with a twist. Every dish we tasted was cooked to perfection, with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. From appetizers to dessert, every bite was a pleasure. If you love authentic and refined flavors, Da Mimmo is the place to be. ​In short, Da Mimmo isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience. An exceptional culinary experience. You reminded me of my father, whose name was also Mimmo. The caponata, horse meatballs, and pasta alla norma were mind-blowing. We walked in at 7:30 without a reservation and got one of the few free tables. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive, and we were allowed to choose a quieter corner. We started by sharing the Bruschetta Caponata, which we thoroughly enjoyed. For main course, we had pasta with swordfish and carbonara. Both were also delicious. We also really enjoyed the house wine. Everything was absolutely reasonable in terms of price. The portions were very generous, so unfortunately we didn't get to have dessert. The sound was also very good. :-D

The waiter was very friendly. Despite his limited English, he made an effort to explain the restaurant to us and greeted us warmly upon entering. The food was also delicious! I ordered carbonara and garlic oil pasta. The prices were very reasonable, and they even provided bread with the meal, which was fantastic. The atmosphere was also very pleasant—not too noisy, and the music was great. Don't hesitate, come and get it! 🤩

Si buscas una cena con producto local y de primera calidad, servicio acogedor y atento, no te puedes perder este lugar. La caponata espectacular. Todas las pastas buenísimas. Seguro volveremos.

Locale moderno, accogliente, intimo: in zona centrale, si può gustare una cucina tipica casalinga semplice, ma con piatti ben presentati e curati. Mi viene da definire questo locale una versione contemporanea della trattoria di una volta. L’accoglienza è infatti cortese, gentile, amichevole. Il menu non vastissimo, i prezzi nella norma per la zona, direi convenienti se invece rapportati al resto d’Italia. Io provo dei rigatoni alla norma e delle ottime polpette di carne di cavallo. Con un calice di vino rosso e una bottiglia d’acqua spendo sui 25 euro. Consigliato.
