Trattoria located near the Piazza Principe station. Homemade cuisine and a wide, varied menu, with fairly fast service. Recommended for anyone looking for a hearty, unpretentious meal at a reasonable price.

I stumbled upon this place by chance, simply because I took a different exit from the station. Since my wife, my three children, and I were all hungry, I entered the first trattoria we came across. It was very noisy and crowded, but there was a table for five that seemed there to welcome us. I looked around and, as always, got lost in contemplation of the bottles of wine and liquor. I looked at the dishes at the neighboring tables and my first impression, later confirmed, was that the first courses were stronger than the second courses. As usual, we ordered very different dishes. I ordered the linguine with clams (€5!) and a mixed fried fish platter (€6 or €7, I don't remember). The first course was generous, with a sea of small clams scattered on top—not real, but extremely fresh and delicious. I chatted with the owner, who I thought was the only Italian among the young people briskly serving and navigating the crowded tables. Well, I wouldn't take a woman on a first date there, but the five of us spent €65, with my son feasting on a grilled meat after a generous portion of spaghetti with ragu—he who usually always leaves something on his plate. I love the old city sung about by De André, and I'm happy with the pleasant discoveries it still offers me, even years later. PS: no photos of the dishes: when we sit down to eat, everyone's cell phones must disappear.

A true home-style trattoria, just like the name suggests. Simple cuisine, affordable prices, and a welcoming, simple atmosphere. You won't find anything like this anymore!

I discovered this restaurant by chance. The portions are plentiful and despite the fact that they use frozen products I must say that the taste and condiments are good. The cleanliness of the place leaves much to be desired. We had a table near the wall of the place, on the bar service side, and I noticed several insects climbing from a corner of the floor where some crates of drinks were stored. The bathrooms were slippery and not very clean. The waiters did their best to manage the room but at a certain point I also noticed a bit of confusion between the owner and the waiters. In short, without too many demands, I would improve the cleanliness and coordination between the staff.

Il mio titolo dice tutto. Una trattoria! Non le pippe mentali che, ultimamente, girano. Uno va in una trattoria per mangiare, non per guardare l'impiattamento o altro. Personale e titolare gentilissimi. Cucina veloce. Sapori, ritrovati, di una trattoria.
