Essen an sich war ok.
Jedoch wird man nicht wirklich gut serviert obendrauf ist das Personal unfreundlich.
Kartoffeln waren nicht durch gekocht.
Und sehr viele Fliegen die auf das Essen gehen.
Ich will das Restaurant keinem vermeiden aber ich persönlich würde da nicht nochmal hin gehen.

Famous and highly publicized Crotto offers traditional cuisine in an environment equally suitable for reliving the history of Val Chiavenna. However, I preferred others, less famous but more "free-range".

I have frequented this crotto several times and the opinion is always the same. 5 star food, excellent and plentiful. The atmosphere is more of a restaurant than a crotto, with the main room penalized by the absence of windows and not very characteristic. Large and convenient parking. Service to be reviewed. The waiters are committed and kind, but lack a minimum of organisation, which has repercussions on every phase of the service itself: slowness in collecting and delivering orders, dishes arriving "in instalments", no one checking whether the bread has run out and drinks at the table. In short, a lot of patience is needed to accept this little chaos, which not everyone has.

Historic place in the area, now under new management.
Friendly staff, the menu has perhaps lost a little of the typicality that characterized the previous management.
The quality is high and the prices are adequate.
The only flaw is the presence of a truly excessive quantity of flies, presumably due to the presence of vaccine farms nearby, which could be limited with the use of some dedicated traps.

bellissimo posto per mangiare, staccare una bella foto, i camerieri sono gentilissimi, hanno anche menu in inglese e tedesco - molto accessibile. Ho pranzato molto bene pero i dolci sono incomparabile!! Il miglior tiramisù che abbia mai mangiato, complimenti

Found it by chance while driving past on my bike. And fed us. Ordered and received a really great plate. The food at the neighboring table also looked great. Friendly service. Ate well. Always worth a detour.

It has been a few years since they closed and reopened it again. The food is good, no mistake there. The prices are a bit more expensive, reflecting that you would pay double for the same food in Switzerland. It is a good stop for all those traveling and passing by.
