Crotto Dangri In Livo

A few years ago both pizzoccheri and polenta oncia were more seasoned and tasty. Too bad.

We've been there six times already. We've been satisfied every time. The crotto is quaint and very nice. The service is always very friendly. Good, regional cuisine. Beautiful location. Pure nature. We'll be back. 😊

A charming place, overlooking the valley and stream. Very rustic, perfect for its setting. The food is plentiful and delicious.

No stress is the key. Good food. Prices are a bit steep.

We stopped for lunch (reservation required) after a lovely bike ride from Dongo. The atmosphere was excellent, charming and pleasant. If you'd like, you can even swim in the river below. The place is nice but definitely room for improvement. Service is fast and attentive, and prices are reasonable. However, I didn't find anything decent or good about the dishes we tried—I'd say just average. The ribs with polenta and sausage were okay, but the ribs were tiny and almost meatless; five pieces didn't make a rib worthy of the name. The pizzoccheri weren't bad, but they weren't great either; they were edible. Overall, considering the atmosphere and the food (which could be improved), it's worth a try. The hospitality was excellent and the staff were helpful.
