My wife and I had dinner here while staying in Perledo/Varenna. This restaurant is located way way up, but it is worth the drive! We parked and then just had a short little walk further up to the restaurant itself. The view from just outside the restaurant is incredible. Food was all home made and absolutely incredible. It is quite tiny inside (probably best to make a reservation) but this may have been one of the best meals we had throughout our stay.

Excellent location, intimate, simple, and charming atmosphere. Amazing chef, the brother who runs it is very kind. I highly recommend this beautiful place. An experience to repeat. We'll definitely be back!!!! Chepeau!!!!!

On Sunday lunchtime, the restaurant was very crowded, and the service struggled to keep up with the demands of the many tables. Ossobuco and sciat were very good, but the pizzoccheri weren't up to par, and the flavor of the braised meat was completely drowned out by the taste of the wine.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Crotto del Meo. The service was excellent, fast, and friendly, even though we were a group of 15. The place is authentic, with attention to detail, and you feel like you're in a real crotto.
All the dishes were delicious! Pizzoccheri, chat, polenta taragna, mushrooms, ribs...all delicious. And to finish, an excellent apple pie.
The quality-price ratio was more than fair. We felt pampered and treated very well. We highly recommend it!

The experience is worth all the hairpin bends it takes to get there! Since the change of ownership, the food has been excellent, good value, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

The Fontina cheese made my tongue vibrate. The menu is simple, but each ingredient is carefully chosen and of exceptional quality. The staff is welcoming and kind... The location and the surrounding nature are stunning! Thank you!
