Very good restaurant, we ate very well, the dishes were very good, fresh and homemade, and on top of that, with great service 👍 with the little finishing touch of the little fingertip napkin 👏 I recommend it with pleasure

During our holiday, my wife and I stumbled upon Controbottega. We were immediately drawn in by the wonderful atmosphere of the restaurant, both outside and inside. The welcome from Andrea and his colleague was warm and heartfelt. The menu is clear and offers honest, well-crafted dishes. The food arrived promptly after ordering. In our experience, many Italian restaurants tend to rush between courses, but that wasn’t the case at Controbottega. Everything was served with care and without haste. The dishes were beautifully prepared, and Andrea was happy to chat without being intrusive. Our experience was so good that we returned a few days later. Andrea recognized us immediately and welcomed us back. If you ever find yourself in Grosseto, don’t miss Controbottega. You won’t be disappointed.

Andrea is amazing!! The choice of dishes is suggested according to the taste of the guest. The orders are respected in the right times. I could not suggest dishes in particular but Andrea is prepared and understands the various culinary needs and indicates the best wine options without commercial hesitations. I highly recommend him for the particular quality of listening. EXCELLENT my friend.

18/10/2025: If you have the chance, I would definitely eat here! I ate here tonight with my boyfriend, and it was truly exceptional. The staff are very friendly, and the food and cocktails are delicious. The waiter gave us some great recommendations, and we ended up ordering the tuna tataki and the tagliata; both were delicious. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back!

12/01/2026: A symbol of Italian hospitality, every hotel employee works hard with a smile, remembering guests' names. Even during busy periods, the restaurant staff ensures smooth and fast service, without any hiccups. Well done!
11/01/2026: A simply wonderful experience at Hotel Macinaie and Chalet Vecchio Rifugio. From the management to the welcome, everything was impeccable: we were welcomed with open arms, including our inseparable four-legged friend Apollo, who was treated like family here 🐾. We stayed in the splendid Chalet Vecchio Rifugio, in the large "La Fagetta" suite, where a roaring fireplace greeted us, creating a warm, intimate, and truly special atmosphere. In the morning, we woke to 30 cm of fresh snow, a sight that made the landscape even more magical ❄️. In the evening, we enjoyed a candlelit dinner, with excellent and delicious dishes, prepared with care and passion, all accompanied by an excellent local wine. A relaxing, authentic, and romantic stay, made even more beautiful by the company of our beloved Apollo. A place that will remain in our hearts and where we will return more often. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
