During our holiday, my wife and I stumbled upon Controbottega. We were immediately drawn in by the wonderful atmosphere of the restaurant, both outside and inside. The welcome from Andrea and his colleague was warm and heartfelt. The menu is clear and offers honest, well-crafted dishes. The food arrived promptly after ordering. In our experience, many Italian restaurants tend to rush between courses, but that wasn’t the case at Controbottega. Everything was served with care and without haste. The dishes were beautifully prepared, and Andrea was happy to chat without being intrusive. Our experience was so good that we returned a few days later. Andrea recognized us immediately and welcomed us back. If you ever find yourself in Grosseto, don’t miss Controbottega. You won’t be disappointed.

Andrea is amazing!! The choice of dishes is suggested according to the taste of the guest. The orders are respected in the right times. I could not suggest dishes in particular but Andrea is prepared and understands the various culinary needs and indicates the best wine options without commercial hesitations.
