Very centrally located hotel with its own underground car park in Merano. There was a delicious breakfast buffet and dinner in the half board is also highly recommended. The rooms are very simply furnished, but absolutely functional. I can absolutely recommend the new wellness area. The view of the mountains from the sauna is beautiful, and the roof terrace also has a wonderful view of the valley. Several bus lines leave within a 5-minute walk and take you to Dorf Tirol, Trautmannsdorf or the Meran 2000 cable car. Thanks to the included guest pass, you can also use these means of transport free of charge. An absolute recommendation for Meran! :)

Clean, nice hotel with extremely nice staff. Very good price-performance ratio. Underground parking...air conditioning...clean pool with enough loungers..roof terrace..sauna and fitness room. 10 minutes to Merano on foot.

Everything is true, but one small note: there is a fingerprint on the entrance door, but you can only see it when the sun is shining.

This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel Kolping Excellent location, with a short walk (uphill on the way back) you reach the center of Merano, two bus stops within walking distance, which also lead to the beautiful Trauttmansdorff Gardens Friendly, helpful and courteous staff The welcome aperitif is always appreciated, very good apple prosecco Good breakfast The modest room, but with everything you need, a small balcony with a view Possibility of using covered parking (for a fee) and also a swimming pool and wellness centre

We stayed here the last night on our E5 hike. Friendly staff, great hotel only the outside terrace was closed too early 😉. Breakfast buffet also perfect. I hope we come to Merano again to see more of the city. Gladly again in this hotel!

All in all a good hotel. The bathrooms in the rooms were renovated and a new spa area was built. The hotel is located very close to the center (10 minutes on foot) and has good connections to bus lines. Meran is a very nice place for hiking and cycling

28/08/2024: Tre sere a cena. Due si ed una così così . Locale molto bello arredato tradizionalmente. Personale gentile, presente. Goulasch ottimo,costine buonissime (assolutamente non unte), piatto con salsiccia, formaggio, funghi e polenta, tris di canederli. Tutto molto buono e ben presentato. Uova e speck con quest' ultimo "croccante" tipo bacon (può piacere più morbido),e Rosticciata con carne di manzo, buona, tagliata fine e patate (per il mio personale gusto troppo morbide). Per due sere ,avendo prenotato all'interno (moltissimi posti coperti all'esterno) siamo stati accolti con il tavolo libero. L'ultima sera , l'afflusso dei clienti era talmente elevato, che abbiamo dovuto attendere una mezz'oretta. La proprietaria è stata gentile , ci ha offerto due calici di prosecco, per ingannare l'attesa. È uno dei locali tipici più "gettonato" e decisamente c'è il suo perché.
27/08/2024: Typical Tyrolean restaurant, with waiters in traditional costume. You can eat really well, at a fair cost, with a varied and local menu. Reservation recommended.
