11/12/2024: "A True Taste of Venice" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Taverna da Baffo was a delightful find! Tucked away on a charming canal, this traditional tavern transported us back in time with its rustic decor and authentic Venetian atmosphere. We were lucky enough to snag a table outside on the terrace, which offered stunning views of the canal. The food was absolutely delicious! We started with the Insalata di piovra (octopus salad) which was fresh and flavorful. For our main courses, we couldn't resist trying the Spaghetti al nero di seppia (squid ink spaghetti) and the Frittura di calamari (fried calamari). Both dishes were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The portions were generous, and the ingredients were clearly of the highest quality. The service was warm and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the experience. Our waiter was happy to offer recommendations and even gave us a brief history of the tavern.
