We returned after seven years and found a wonderful atmosphere and excellent food! The octopus was definitely noteworthy, and the bucket of wine was a must! Good luck!

A recommended experience: eating on the Gaeta waterfront, where fishermen dock in the evening with their catch of the day, which goes straight to the fishmonger... who cooks your fresh catch simply, but by a hand that knows its stuff well. "Rustic" atmosphere: no table service, an ice bucket for your personalized wine, and decidedly original. I had the best and most flavorful calamari platter ever (just calamari with no added bread), and a very tender octopus salad. Value for money (€41) ✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️

Piatti di mare veloci pronti da gustare in un ambiente molto semplice e allegro. Divertente doverli ordinare mettendo crocette su un foglio e attendere che ti chiamino per il ritiro.

Osteria Piazza delle Erbe

30/08/2025: My partner and I dined at the Piazza delle Erbe restaurant in the historic center of Sezze. What can I say...a delightful surprise. We were greeted by the host as if we were at home, and he made us feel welcome right away. We ordered two first courses: fettuccine, strictly handmade, with an exceptional smoked buffalo mozzarella ragù, and ravioli with sheep's milk ricotta and spinach, topped with cherry tomatoes and a sprinkling of aged pecorino cheese—delicious. We finished with a sampling of typical local products, which are typically served as an appetizer: local prosciutto, pancetta, fried zucchini flowers, and many other delicacies. The cuisine is authentic and of excellent quality, rooted in the local area, respectful of the raw ingredients and seasonality. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back when we pass through this area. Highly recommended!!! See you next time!
