A High-Quality Sensory Experience: Coltello e Forchetta, Porto Empedocle
Coltello e Forchetta in Porto Empedocle offers a top-tier gastronomic experience, focusing exclusively on the excellence of its raw ingredients, surpassing the idea of a "contrived gourmet" approach. It is no coincidence that the chef is known as "the King of Lobsters."
Our visit confirmed both the freshness and the quality:
• Appetizers: The mixed fried seafood (frittura mista) of baby squid and cuttlefish, freshly delivered from the Sciacca market, was executed extraordinarily—perfectly crisp (asciutta) and full of flavor.
• Signature First Course: The Lobster Linguine (Linguine all'Aragosta) is the highlight of the meal. The pasta, made with a high-quality bronze die (trafilata in oro), is tossed in a superb bisque with succulent pieces of lobster. Attention to detail is evident in the cherry tomatoes, which are expertly peeled and slow-cooked (cotti a bassa temperatura).
• Main Courses: The grilled shellfish (crostacei alla griglia) were prepared flawlessly (cottura da manuale).
In addition to the undeniable quality of the dishes, the atmosphere is enhanced by the warmth and professionalism of the chef-patron, Sergio. This is a highly recommended address for lovers of the freshest seafood.

I've dined at "Coltello e Forchetta" several times and am always thrilled. Every course, from appetizer to dessert, is prepared with great attention to quality and presentation. The fish and lobster, the absolute stars, are incredibly fresh, of excellent quality, expertly cooked, and presented with love and care. Each dish is a masterpiece, accompanied by impeccable service and an elegant, warm atmosphere. You can sense the passion and great professionalism of chef Sergio, the owner. "Coltello e Forchetta" is a true gem for lovers of fine dining.

We had an extraordinary experience at this seafood restaurant! Everything was so fresh and delicious, from appetizers to dessert. The welcome was warm and authentic: we immediately felt at ease thanks to the kind and passionate host.
The lobster pasta was simply exquisite, while the shrimp and truffle pasta was truly spectacular, a perfect combination of seafood!
A place we wholeheartedly recommend and where we will definitely return with great pleasure!
