Informal atmosphere with open kitchen. On a hot and breezy day I had lunch outside. Friendly service, delicious dishes (the spaghetti allo scoglio were phenomenal) for the fresh and well-cooked fish. I returned years later and they DID NOT disappoint me (AGAIN). If I return to La Spezia I know where to go

An excellent dinner, very fresh fish and perfect atmosphere! We went to the Colesterolo restaurant and the experience was truly exceptional. The first spaghetti with seafood was prepared with very fresh and high quality ingredients with scampi and prawns, a perfectly balanced mix of flavours. The second course, the octopus, was also tender, tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, we immediately felt at ease. We dined in excellent company, enjoying food accompanied by good wine. Seafood dishes are clearly their strong point: very fresh and enhanced with great care. We will definitely be back!

Excellent place, you wouldn't expect it from the name... cholesterol! But it's worth a try. Very kind, excellent quality of food. Must try.
