I was looking for an excellent rotisserie for dinner and found this little gem. The rotisserie's signature dish is undoubtedly the classic Messina pidone with cheese and vegetables (curly endive, I think). The dough was soft, just the right amount of thin, and not greasy—practically perfect. The typical Messina focaccia was also excellent. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the service was quick. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. The food smelled inviting. I didn't get to try the grilled chicken, but judging by the look and the large number of orders, I think it was excellent and worth a try. Maybe next time. The prices were reasonable for the quality. I highly recommend this place for a takeout meal. See you next time. Roberto

Every year my brother and I order chicken and savoury pies, and every time we have to wait a long time to pick them up. The staff is a bit cold. However, the chicken and savoury pies are good.

04/12/2025: If you've just gotten off the ferry or are simply hungry in Messina, we recommend Panicoteca Romolo's Food. The place is strategically located, just a short distance from the ferry docks. Intrigued by the excellent reviews we'd read, we decided to stop for a refueling dinner at this sandwich shop, and it exceeded our expectations. The quality of the bread, meat, condiments, and fries was excellent. The value for money was excellent. The menu offers a wide selection of burgers, meat platters, kebabs, typical Messina chops, and fried snacks. The friendly and professional owner, a true craftsman who devotes his heart and soul to his business, is also noteworthy. The place stays open until 5:00 AM. We were satisfied and will definitely be back. That's why we recommend it to everyone!
