The pizza is really good, and the themed evenings are highly recommended. Simonetta's desserts are also excellent.

A wide selection of pizzas at more than reasonable prices! And the homemade millefeuille is exquisite! Nothing to say about the welcome and service... one small drawback: the Italians always speak very loudly, especially the Tuscans (but the accent is very pleasant). Luckily, it's quieter when they're eating!

02/11/2025: I stayed at the Porta Franca refuge for lunch and dinner, staying in a shared room! What can I say? A wonderful experience, made even more so by the generous and kind welcome we received from the CAI volunteers! They were attentive and thoughtful, and I must say, very friendly! Honorable mention goes to Mrs. Cinzia and the other chef (forgive me, I don't remember her name) who delighted us with delicious dishes! Thanks also to our contact Alessandro, especially for the strudel he gave me for the return trip! Thank you so much!
07/10/2025: A lovely place to stop for a bite to eat or grab something to eat directly at the refuge. The food is spectacular and delicious.
