07/10/2025: Beautiful and welcoming place, very fast service.
30/09/2025: Mocambo is a historic pizza restaurant on the Goitese. It's a spacious place, with several rooms, each more beautiful than the last, elegant and unique. The service is usually good, sometimes a bit improvised or chaotic, but it works occasionally. As for the food, it's primarily the pizza: good, although very (perhaps a little too) thin. The pizza dough is soft and easy to digest, but it's nothing like a classic pizza with a crust (without necessarily claiming to be Neapolitan pizza), to be clear. It's really that thin and gets cold easily. The Margherita has a good flavor, as do the others, with a decent amount of ingredients. As for the Margherita, however, it has (in the tomato sauce and oil?) too much oregano or basil (I'm not sure), but it's noticeable on the palate, and even though it's good, you can only taste that flavor, which is a shame. Prices and cover charge are generally a bit high. I'd change the breadsticks and improve the cash register, as it often gets chaotic and long lines are waiting for payment (the register is in front of the bar, near the dining rooms and the bathroom, and is located in the hallway. The person checking out sometimes tries to hurry, both to shorten the line and to be able to serve or coordinate the staff. The gentleman, perhaps one of the owners, is kind and calm. However, in my opinion, the payment station isn't a convenient spot, nor is it convenient for the staff passing by with trays).
All in all, it's worth going there a few times to discover and rediscover the place or try something else, but for now, based on what I've "tasted": nothing special.
