Cicci In Lucca

Really nice New Year's Eve at the Cicci grill. They welcomed us with warmth and professionalism even though it was late, the food was delicious and they were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Discovered it while we were looking for a restaurant that made meat and real food during the Lucca comics. A real delight. The gentleman who welcomed us was really kind and nice. When booking, he also showed us the meat he had on display, quickly explaining the various cuts and sizes. I think he is one of the few honest restaurateurs during the fair. We had two appetizers and a delicious Florentine steak for two. We will definitely be back.

It's a nice place. The food was great. One of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Cooked perfectly. And the tordelli were also excellent, due to the quality of the meat inside. So much flavor! The service? Not so much. The waitress couldn't have cared less. If there were a waiter with the zeal and competence of the chef, it would be one of the most sought after places in Lucca. So much potential that remains to be realized.

I go to Lucca every Thursday, for work, from Livorno. A few weeks ago I stopped at Braceria Cicci and the excellent Chef Giuseppe prepared me an enormous tasty steak for which, very satisfied, I promised to return to this very welcoming place to taste the tortelli from Lucca that the aforementioned chef had promised to let me taste. So much so that they were good, I drank these very tasty, beautiful tortelli from Lucca filled with ragù that will fill you up to your heart's content even if you would like another dish. Then I also tasted a platter of delicious Tuscan cured meats and cheeses. Hospitable atmosphere, very quiet in an alley behind the crowded and too touristy Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. But isn't it better to have dinner in a quiet place, even if it's quite central, rather than among the crowds? And I close by mentioning the excellent quality/price ratio and the kind hospitality and helpfulness shown by the friendly table attendants Laura and Daniela. We just finished our dinner, me, my 7 year old and my husband. I had an exceptional grilled meat: soft, tasty, cooked to perfection and of excellent quality. My husband had some raw which was really good. It is clear that there is a very respectable raw material. The friendly service and Laura who followed our table very sweet and kind. Then she was nice to my baby which is certainly not to be taken for granted considering that he didn't even consume it. If you arrive in Lucca you can't miss passing through here.

If you are in Lucca you absolutely must eat at Cicci, a welcoming place, well-trained staff and super food! Honorable mention to the very kind Cristina. If you see the Black Pharaoh, steal a photo of him!!
