Cibus In Ceglie messapica

At Cibus we experienced very simple fayre. The food has a comforting home cooked vibe for people with subtle tastes. I’m sure it’s just like ‘how nonna used to make it’ If you want to experience well made traditional no frills food this is the place for you. Just don’t expect any taste sensations. The decor is thoughtful and tasteful unlike most Puglian restaurant interiors. The wines are delicious. The service was great.

More refined cuisine however in tradition

The food and service was excellent. We dined as a group and every person loved their meal. There is also a great selection of wines that are very affordable. I highly recommend.

An experience of true Apulian flavours, reinterpreted with modern and original criteria. Warm environment, kindness, courtesy of the owners and all the staff. Excellent quality/price ratio.

I recently had dinner at Cibus and the occasion was a birthday. I’ve already been to Cibus before and I loved it! We had dinner outside the last time so I had a great memory. While there were some enjoyable aspects, there were also a few disappointments. The restaurant offers a charming outdoor setting that’s perfect for a summer evening—the ambiance outside is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal. However, the inside was quite a different experience. It was uncomfortably hot, and the lack of air conditioning made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal. In the middle of summer, this was a significant downside for me. The meal started off on a positive note with a good starter that was flavorful, fresh and nicely served. Unfortunately, the main courses didn’t live up to expectations. The lamb meat was very dry, and it was a bit burned outside, a bit disappointing as I was hoping for something more tender and succulent. The pasta with ricotta was served a bit cold, and the ricotta had an overwhelming smell and taste that was too strong for my liking, making it a bit hard to enjoy. On the bright side the wine we chose complemented the meal nicely. Overall, the food itself was underwhelming, and the lack of air conditioning inside made for an uncomfortable dining experience. I would recommend sitting outside if you decide to visit, but I hope they address some of these issues.

We especially loved a dish with cereal, the region's typical pasta and fig ice cream. All very good

You absolutely have to go there, nice place great food

Simply fantastic. Characteristic location, attentive service and highly trained waiters, excellent food, I recommend the mixed roast and the rabbit.

arrivati a ceglie anche un marziano capirebbe che siamo nel cuore della puglia, trademark inconfondibile. il ristorante si trova nelle cantine di un vecchio monastero per cui gli ambienti sembrano caotici ma recuperati benissimo allo scopo. il personale al tavolo si avvicenda, non manca la titolare. abbiamo preso una sconfinata serie di antipasti che da soli sarebbero bastati: tartare, puntarelle, etc etc, completi di affettati del posto, non tutti dello stesso livello ma nel complesso molto buoni. di primi orecchiette con favette introvabili, zuppa di grano molto gradevole; selezione di formaggio accompagnati da primitivo passito del territorio ottimo accostamento. come vino il susumaniello, una certezza. ottima qualità, ambientazione preziosa, servizio attento, merita di andarci di proposito. per l'eccellenza assoluta da curare i servizi igienici ed il prezzo che è sembrato leggermente alto. comunque BRAVI

Servizio caotico (si erano dimenticati un piatto pertanto abbiamo dovuto mangiare separatamente in tempi diversi), cibo nella media, ad ogni modo il personale é estremamente gentile .
