Yet another confirmation! We have been customers for a while, but every time it's like a new discovery! The food is great, the service is very kind and the place is also beautiful!

Cibus is a real gem for those who love quality restaurants. Discovered through the guide of the award-winning Italian trattorias, it is located in the alleys of the historic center of Ceglie. It was created from an ancient convent and is therefore very beautiful and welcoming. Quality of food, service, excellent cellar made us book for two consecutive days. Just once wasn't enough to taste everything. Beautiful experience. If we return to Puglia we will definitely go again.

Was looking forward to have diner @ Cibus, but was disappointed. Expected much more. Food was good, but certainly not exceptional. Okay, you can have donkey meat, but...that's it. Staff was super friendly, absolutely nothing to complain about. The restaurant itself is located in a typical Apulian village house. I would recommend skipping dessert, I had a puff pastry with Chantilly and fresh fruit. 7€ for two, not crispy, smalll rounds of puff pastry, half a grape, 1 small piece of pineapple & half a strawberry. My conclusion: not worth the money.

His fame precedes him! We had wanted to come here for a long time, and we found the opportunity on a quiet Saturday in February. The location is beautiful (as they now say), in the historic center of a well-kept Ceglie. The restaurant is divided into various rooms all in local stone and well kept; If I wanted to make a suggestion, I would try removing a couple of place settings per room, but the atmosphere is still pleasant and warm. A nice menu based on local ingredients. Very focused on vegetables, grains and meat (as it should be). Dishes that also have a beautiful stage presence, but which are focused on substance and flavours; I found olfactory and gustatory references to dishes from my childhood, even if the appearance and consistency of what I had in front of me was completely different. Bonus is the tasting of cheeses, which are refined by the owner: all (or almost all) produced in the area and all (or almost all) of the highest quality. I would make a note on the quantities (especially the second courses); I had difficulty finishing the donkey stew (I never leave anything on the plate, my limit) and the flavour, excellent but intense, challenged me, but I repeat, it's my limit, and I could have asked for a "doggy bag", which I have to learn to do. Courteous but somewhat alternating service; some difficulty in indicating a winery in the area and some "empty" during lunch, but nothing transcendental, everyone was kind and helpful. Wine list not particularly extensive and focused on the territory (I would add some Apulian bubbles). Fair account considering the raw material. A really good reference, the right place to introduce the flavors of this part of Puglia to acquaintances and friends from outside.

One of the most renowned restaurants in Ceglie. It offers traditional dishes reworked in a "dissident" way (Cit. menu). Is it worth making a stop? Yes, assuming that we are a little higher than the average prices of local restaurants.

Local products, all of high quality, revisited in a very homemade way. The owner's hospitality is something ancient, a gift that is now rare in today's restaurants. I really appreciated the idea of ​​offering extra virgin olive oil on all the tables. For me it was a real pleasure to have lunch in this place.

"Degustazione di entrate stagionali del territorio" buona, non trascendentale però gustosa. Una grandissima delusione con i primi. "Raviolaccio di asino, peperone crusco e il suo fondo" piccantissimo, "Lingotto di pasta all'uovo, ragù di Vacca Podolica, funghi cardoncelli e canestrato di masseria" a dir poco salato. Voto rialzato dal "Semifreddo al caffè (Biscotto della nonna con mousse al cioccolato e mascarpone)". Non so se tornerei un'altra volta lì a pranzo, anche considerando i prezzi complessivi.

Bellissima esperienza ad un prezzo non Michelin. I piatti provati (antipasto, primi, dolci) erano tutti ben pensati, ben serviti, con un'ottima ricerca di qualità degli ingredienti e della preparazione. Non tutto però era saporito e bilanciato al massimo delle sue potenzialità. Una splendida cena, anche grazie alla gentilezza e disponibilità del personale e del proprietario.
