Inviting and welcoming, even if the tables are too close together. Poorly soundproofed, but fortunately the background music creates a modicum of privacy. The chalkboard menu is a good idea. The wait for service was a bit long, perhaps because the dishes aren't pre-cooked. Tasty and well-presented, I would improve the serving size when a single course is requested. The service is professional and courteous. The well-maintained and clean environment is only flawed by poor ventilation, which, if only mechanical, needs to be improved with the increase in guests. Some dishes were offered, but in the evening you shouldn't overdo it, especially given the hairpin bends you have to negotiate on the way back. The dessert choice wasn't the best; the ice cream was ice cold; the other one was more fortunate, but very good. As for the coffee, I'd change the machine, otherwise I'd try a more full-bodied blend, but that's a matter of personal taste. We'll make up for it next time. As for parking, anyone who knows Ascoli Piceno will tell you it's just a matter of luck. See you next time and if you happen to be there, try their cuisine, it's worth it.

04/25/2025 On the advice of our hotel we dine in this lovely place. I remember perfectly the fantastic olive oil that the owner offered us on some excellent bread. We ate really well and the staff was courteous and present.

Passeggiando per il cuore di Ascoli Piceno, c’è un luogo che riesce a combinare gusto, atmosfera e un’accoglienza che scalda il cuore: "Cibo"  Un ristorante  che non è solo un’esperienza culinaria,  ma un vero e proprio viaggio,  tra sapori autentici  e dettagli curati con passione. Il menù è un omaggio alla tradizione marchigiana,  rivisitata con tocchi moderni e sorprendenti Ogni piatto racconta una storia,  ogni boccone è una scoperta.  La materia prima è di altissima qualità,  trattata con rispetto e creatività. Ma ciò che rende Cibo davvero indimenticabile è il servizio: professionale, attento,  con quel calore umano  che non si può imparare,  ma si sente.  Un ringraziamento speciale va a Ilaria,  La cameriera dai capelli corvini  e dallo sguardo che sa parlare  prima ancora delle parole.  Con garbo, eleganza. e un sorriso che illumina la sala,  ha reso il nostro pranzo  ancora più piacevole. Un luogo dove il palato si esalta  e il cuore si distrae un po’.  Torneremo presto, per un altro piatto...

It is the restaurant attached to the Hotel "Palazzo dei mercanti - Historic home" and is managed in the same way with quality, care and elegance. It has just over thirty seats so it's best to book: the menu, in addition to the paper one, is shown on a large blackboard and the prices, contrary to what you might imagine, are fair as are the portions and the quality of the food, served well and by an attentive, professional and kind staff. For two: cover charge €2/person, Ascoli olives and cremini €7, cheese and ova pallotte €8, natural water €1, amatriciana ceppe €13, rustic clams and artichokes €13 (here, this dish is perhaps a little subdued). Good choice of wines (I don't think there are bulk quantities but by glass or bottle).

È il ristorante annesso all'Hotel "Palazzo dei mercanti - Dimora storica" ed è gestito allo stesso modo con qualità, cura ed eleganza. Ha poco più di una trentina di posti a sedere quindi meglio prenotare: il menù, oltre al cartaceo, è riportato su una maxi lavagna e i prezzi, contrariamente a quello che si potrebbe immaginare, sono giusti così come le porzioni e la qualità del cibo, servito bene e da uno staff attento, professionale e gentile. In due: coperto 2€/persona, olive ascolane e cremini 7€, pallotte cacio e ova 8€, acqua naturale 1€, ceppe all'amatriciana 13€, rustiche vongole e carciofi 13€ (ecco, questo piatto forse un po' sotto tono). Buona scelta di vini (non credo ci siano le quantità sfuse ma calice o bottiglia).
