Ciauru Anticu In Modica

Place far from the center of Modica with a wide choice on the menu including local specialties. Excellent pizza and panpizza. The staff were kind and welcoming. The only flaw is the environment which has nothing ancient about it.

I took advantage of the site for a family dinner, ordering sandwiches made with pizza dough, which were really good. I recommend it.

Pizza restaurant in the immediate outskirts of Modica, traditional dishes interpreted without that "something" that manages to excite you. Very stringy rabbit and not harmonious seasonings, pork in sauce always poor in seasoning. Acceptable pizza, simple but tasty little arancine, rustic potatoes with too much salt, sincere house wine.

I ate very well, everything was good and generous portions. The service girls are fast and friendly

The traditional dishes are excellent and the staff is professional and also approachable. Value for money is excellent considering that they are among the very few in Modica to offer so many traditional Modica dishes. I recently had the mixed pork with sauce (very good) and the abundant homemade bread to make the slipper was a pleasant surprise. Two stars for the environment because for me the location is certainly not a strong point and even some of the details of the tables do not recall the "ancient" but are just outdated. Advised.

Excellent food, typical and traditional, with friendly and fast service, all at reasonable prices.
