We were craving for Asian Cuisine after many days of pasta and pizza and we stumbled upon this restaurant located in Trastevere on Google Maps. The menu is quite overwhelming as it has way too many items and we didn’t know what to pick. In the end, we went for the hotplate chicken, hotplate prawns, shrimp fried rice and the mushroom & chicken soup. We enjoyed the dishes and it made our Asian stomach very happy. The price is also affordable in Italy standards. It is the cheapest meal we had in Rome so far at 30 eur for 2 pax.

Eat here if you're tired of pasta like we were. Its not the best Chinese food in the world but it made us very happy. The pad Thai isn't pad thai lol this is more of a Chinese food spot.

I've been dining at this Chinese restaurant in Trastevere every now and then for at least 30 years. It's more or less unchanged, but it's still good.

The place is quiet, with a nice atmosphere and not too noisy. We were served quickly and with friendliness, which is always appreciated. I really liked the Chinese food, everything was right and you could tell they used fresh ingredients. It was not heavy or overheated like other places. The value for money is good and the place is clean. Ideal for a tasty meal without any hassle.

Nuovo Drago D'Oro

08/07/2025: Traditional dishes cooked to a decent standard. The portions of the starters were generous, but the grilled beef was sparse and very expensive. The price was reasonable, only because we had a 50% discount. The atmosphere was a bit shabby.
