Chiosco Alkimia In Catania

28/02/2026: We decided to try this trattoria at the recommendation of a friend. It wasn't an unforgettable experience, but overall it deserves a positive rating. We had a rustic appetizer, with very good mortadella, peperonata, and parmigiana. For the first course, pappardelle with mushrooms and tagliatelle with mushrooms and sausage. The first was good, although it could have benefited from a few more mushrooms. The second course was perhaps a little overcooked, but still good. For the second course, the grilled meat was disappointing, both in quantity and quality (the roulade was bad, the sausage was scant, and only the slice of meat was good). The tagliata with mushrooms and arugula was much better, but excellent on the palate. Finally, I enjoyed the house red wine.

26/02/2026: Extremely welcoming place, with very kind and helpful staff. Quality home-cooked food and generous first courses. Highly recommended for couples, groups of friends, or families.
