Chez Pierina In Chamois

Chamois is a little gem, reachable by cable car from Buisson (5.5 euros) and therefore there are no cars 🤗. We were there at the end of January and it was all covered in snow: a spectacle for the soul and the heart. The houses and cabins all set up with flower holders make it seem equally beautiful and welcoming in summer. Chez Pierina is certainly the most famous restaurant in Chamois; we went there and it was an experience worth repeating. Mountain environment, warm and welcoming; friendly staff with great customer care; very good dishes (the stews are amazing), really generous portions (a bread soup is enough for two), substantial and made with a high level of quality. Welcoming environment, pure kindness and food simply to be savored from appetizers to desserts finishing with blueberries in Grappa.

What can I say? Everything good and cared for. Stew, cured meats and appetizers with flavors from times gone by. Abundant dishes. Spent 60 euros for 2 with drinks and wine. Highly recommended.

Non avrei mai creduto di pranzare così bene in un paesino sperduto sui monti. La polenta è rigorosamente fatta sulla stufa a legna...e si sente! A farla da padrona sono i piatti che sono uno più buono dell altro e dalla gentilezza del personale, anche da Flirt il Cocker dei proprietari.

Trascorrere una giornata a Chamois è di per sé una bella esperienza, ma consiglio vivamente di pranzare da Chez Pierina. Già la location esterna trasmette una piacevole simbiosi con la natura, poi la gestione della bella, preparata ed energica Sara e la sapiente cucina della zia, completano un quadro unico e tipico valdostano. Il menù varia a seconda degli ingredienti locali, su tutto vi consiglio la loro polenta concia e la carne di cervo e di capriolo. Ottima la scelta dei vini, prezzo onesto e... non solo professionalità, ma anche tanta cordialità.
