The first dinner to try. Excellent experience, ALL the first courses are amazing and the desserts are fantastic. The second dinner simply because we knew we were eating well. We skipped the appetizers (I recommend the bruschetta, the livers are excellent) and immediately went for two first courses, both excellent (obviously it was mandatory to exchange plates to taste, my tagliatelle all'aglione already tasted the time before on this occasion were even better and the white ragù super good tasty soft and rich). We then moved on to the main course THE FLORENTINA 1.4Kg for two with all the bone as tradition dictates. I had never tried it (not even the times I have been to Tuscany) but theirs, guys, theirs is one of the best meats I have ever tasted. Yes, the price is high but in line with the quality of the meat. Perfect cooking and the "crust" that is created while it remains at the table with you on the hot stone retains the juice and the taste of excellent meat.
Always good wines (house San Giovese, quiet and ideal for first courses)
The owner is always kind and friendly.

A nice little place, we have been there several times and we will definitely be back. Excellent dishes and if you finally want to taste the real Florentine here you can. Very nice to dine outside. Owners, waiters friendly and attentive to everything, well done everyone.

Friendly service, really small portions, normal dishes, chipped plate and paper placemat, precarious blackboards, unjustified price. 53 euros and leaving hungry tends to make you not want to come back.

Tuscan trattoria in the Campidoglio area with a wide choice of appetizers, first courses, second courses and grilled dishes including Florentine steaks, Tomahawk fillets, sliced ribs, there are also off-menu options. We tried the Chianina Carpaccio with pecorino fondue, tagliatelle with fresh porcini mushrooms and Florentine-style stewed tripe... strong flavors and dishes made with skill... a place that surprises and far exceeds expectations. Very kind and knowledgeable staff. Extensive wine list for all budgets... Large outdoor area with well-spaced tables and above all in an area with little traffic... in short, highly recommended, compliments to all the staff

3/6/25 First time in this Tuscan restaurant. Family evening with an American relative. We appreciated everything about this place Hospitality Food Wine the friendliness of the owner Dario (called Darione for his height). Average prices (27€ per person) for a typical Tuscan cuisine and cooked ok!! I recommend it!!!

I ate at the restaurant this evening and I must say I was very surprised!! I went with my family and we were able to try both first courses, second courses, but also desserts. It was all absolutely delicious and with an excellent quality/price ratio. I tried the rosticciana with potatoes as a main course and it literally fell off the bone and melted in my mouth🤤🤤. Unfortunately I didn't try any first courses (my family members did) and so I will go back to appreciate such goodness.
The owner Dario will surely make you smile and the waiters are really nice and kind.
Special mention for the entrée offered with a glass of bubbles; Dario takes great care of the service, making sure that everyone at the table eats at the same time and encouraging the speed of the kitchen.
Try it if you can, it will definitely be worth it and you won't regret it!

Ne avevamo letto bene, e quindi l’abbiamo provato, anche perché è all’interno di un quartiere delizioso (le sue case sono impreziosite da tantissimi murales, che da soli valgono il viaggio… ma meglio apprezzarli in una mattinata di sole).
È uno di quei ristoranti sanguigni, di tavolate, di casino (anche se l’altra sera non era eccessivamente rumoroso), e di grandi porzioni.
E la qualità? La mia rovente e abbondante ribollita non era sgradevole, ma temo fosse solo all’inizio della sua lunga e faticosa vita di necessarie ribolliture, ed era comunque povera non solo di cavolo nero e di concentrato di pomodoro, ma purtroppo anche di aglio e cipolle: è la cattiva strada che porta all’ossimoro “pesto senz’aglio”... Ho aggiunto il tradizionale “giro d’olio”, ma invece di quello toscano eccessivo, invadente, verde e profumato, ce n’era uno albino, che credo provenisse da un uliveto sito sulle sponde di un lago valdostano. La ribollita, in ogni caso, meglio tiepida e "riposata".
Poi ho preso una gigantesca tagliata di una carne, un po’ anemica ma devo dire buona e tenerissima, letteralmente sepolta da una placcatura di carciofi saltati: nuovamente senz’aglio, e quindi mosci di gusto.
Mia moglie ha invece scelto il “menu tuttocarciofi” (35€, ma alla fine ne è costato 37): ottimo il tortino di apertura, poi un primo problematico a causa di una pasta di dimensioni colossali (a occhio, tipo sagne abruzzesi o taccozze molisane), e infine dei carciofi fritti impastellati (passabili, ma uniti a foglie di salvia amare).
Con un dolce a testa, e bevendo 750 ml di rosso della casa (a 12€ al litro, onesto: non male, ma perché non proporre anche un IGT Toscana Rosso o un Morellino di Scansano sfusi, ad esempio?), un litro di minerale e il caffè… quasi 45€ a testa! Fortuna che non abbiamo ordinato la mitica BISTECCA…
